Oh, sure stuff happens. One of my must frustrating losses was this one from season 58. I did play my regular playbook and got suddenly sooooo many turnover. Shit happens. It is a perfect example of how the game, in this aspect, is very well programmed. There are always going to be inexplicable defeats (or victories), not many either, but every now and then one gives it a touch of realism that I find is the closest to what happens in real life. The percentage of randomness (your dice give 1-1-1-1-1 and the opposing team's dice 6-6-6-6-6) should be able, in teams of similar potential, to create these scenarios. ![]() |

That's math, you know?
If the chance for an INT is slim on every throw, having 8 in a game is still not zero. And in the space of all possible results, such a result exists and will happen. You may need 100 games to see it, 1000 games to see it, or just 1 game to see it. I would really like to see real suggestion on how to improve the engine, rules, math, whatever. Think about it and try to make sense of all the possibilities. It's not easy and any engine can only try to find emulate the expectation to a certain amount. I did chat about that stuff here yesterday with my wife, she is a mathematician also, and she got it all and made an example. Imagine you see a certain amount of coin tosses, say 1000, and all are heads. Everyone would say 'unrealistic', but the truth is, it's not, the chance is just slim you such a streak, but it can exist. And then she ask me, what most people would expect at throw 1001, the next? Likely the majority will say Tails, because it can't be Heads AGAIN, right? No, it's still a 50:50 chance for the sides. Math is brutal and several businesses do run on the difference of human expectations and the real results, most prominent of course Casinos. |

I'm sorry, in school I really liked math and statistics but I finally chose to study law (labor law in particular).
Yes, there is a possibility that out of 1000 consecutive tosses, 1000 times "heads" come out in a row. The problem arises when this tiny possibility comes out 10% of the time. It's like that character who says he's won the lottery 50 times. Okay, the possibility exists, but "logic" says something doesn't add up. I insist on the idea I gave a few days ago, if you like numbers, try making one or more teams of maximum 3 million with your 5.5 million/week team. You will need to choose the places you want to reinforce in exchange for leaving other areas more vulnerable, or maybe you want to make a balanced team, either more attacking or more defensive... I think it would be an interesting solution, easy to apply and that would revitalize the game.

You are right, might be worth a try.
But usually with such seamingly unlimited possibilities, quickly a best way to setup is found and established. So, I'm sceptical on that. |

yeah I honestly think you should put that in suggestions as a topic so it could be added because its a really good feature to have that cap...I'm sorry, in school I really liked math and statistics but I finally chose to study law (labor law in particular).
