Loss 45-25 today. Occasionally I get burned multiple times by long pass plays. Today it was six TD passes against me of over 50 yards each. Two were against 3-4-4 and four against 4-3-4, but I was in prefer pass on all six occasions, and I had a missed tackle on all six as well. While I knew I was an underdog going in, I don't think the talent is a six TD bombs spread (so it has to be me). I played to a 70.5 pass defense/ 67.0 overall against the opponents 78.5 pass offense/ 74.2 overall. 399 yards of offense off the six TDs and 115 yards of the remaining 44 plays for the opponent. The opponent ran 50 plays, while I ran 100 plays with 456 yards of offense.
So, I get I may need to abandon the 4-3-4 completely. All of the DBs missing tackles are in the low 30s for vision and tackling, and 20s for positioning and agility. Not quite sure where I should focus to improve here. Suggestions, all ears? |

Thats rough and very discouraging. ..
I just scouted the 2 corners that played most plays in the game. At that glance I highly recommend going with 50 speed corners. Good exp will help you too. I'd also maybe turn that fearsome into an OLB if you need one. Good luck! Hope you find enjoyment here. |

it takes some time to build a solid roster. make sure your facilities and assistant coaches are set up to boost your training so your roster can develop quicker. good luck
also maybe 4-3 is vulnerable to a good passing game Last edited on 2026-04-15 03:31:12 by JohnnyAce |

well to be fair you did play a team with an absolute stud QB and receiving core, but I mean you might want to get some more secondary pieces... I'm not the best person to give an opinion on this but those are my 2 cents...

Just had a moment looking at some details as well, and one thing I noticed was that the guys missing the tackles were always playing Safety, although 2 of them are listed as CBs.
Judging by looking at their Career stats to see when you signed them... Hal was probably alright / should still be in "free position change" phase, but could it be that Suk-Chul got an out-of-position penalty? (That still probably wouldn't explain everything, but anyway he was responsible for 3, so, half of those blunders) Last edited on 2026-04-16 07:43:32 by Octobear |
