Also I have posted several players on the market... I had a look at those. I don't think many will get a lot of interest, since their physicals are not that good. Also you have to consider, that many do look into players and have an idea at what age which skill value should be there and your players are lower that level, for sure. For me, since I want to rebuild with young players, non will get an offer from me. |

For me, since I want to rebuild with young players, non will get an offer from me. so let me tell a story...
when I joined RZA I was kinda clueless at what to do. Sure, I knew I had to build my stadium and such (also today is first day with full stadium! ) but I didn't want my team to suck and be 6-10 at seasons end (not gonna happen for sure Ill be 13-3 in league div champs and 9-6 in SuperCup maybe playoffs?)
So, I went out in the market and wanted to get some players (this is insane that just 1.5 to 2 months ago I was thinking like this) and I mainly just paid attention to their rating and their skills. I also didn't realize what skills were important for certain positions (sure passing and vision for QBs and carrying for RBs the normal stuff but not way too much). So I'm like hey, there's this guy on the market and he looks like a good player, let me bid on him... One thing I will say is that some of those guys are actually originally from the bot team that I wanted to see how they developed... maybe a mistake... And surely enough I won most of them, (not all because there was some bidding for those players)... And one more thing... I was careful to not tack on wages because I knew how devastating it is in the long-run... And then I signed those guys to contracts after enabling contract mode because I thought they were good... but over this season I knew I was stupid for doing that... And now Im stuck with them... I will say, most of their contracts expire end of Season 65, but luckily some of them end this season, but Im trying to grow my payroll with full stadium so I'd like to get rid of them quicker because those guys on my team that are good are gonna get older... And then Id lose talent and have to restock the grocery store with some more talent... SO I have considered disabling contract mode this offseason so I can wipe out that trashy group of players, but 2 things have seriously made me reconsider my decision: 1. I will have to pay $100,000 more in wages, but I could cut the costs of the trash ones... 2. Will I be able to switch back to contracts after disabling them and how soon? SO yeah, I was about to make a post regarding this jam I got myself in, and yeah, that's all for now... at least I know now and I still am gonna have a pretty good 1st full year in charge... SO Id like to here your thoughts on this dilemma... |

You did, what many do in the beginning of a new account. Build, grow, become better.
The problem is most of the time, since the manager doesn't know the details, the decisions are usually not the best. That's why I did write my guide, but the many do not read it early enough, or worse, do ignore the guidance and think to know better. Fine. Now you do think you know better than at the start, also fine. But I think you are still away from finding your style, to say it some way. MacsUltraVideosYT wrote:

SO Id like to here your thoughts on this dilemma... I have no expirence on disabling the HR. The savings are just too big to ignore the HR. Usually 15%, if you do the negotiation right. Regarding your questions/statements: 1. You can only disable for rollover. Not sure how it happens and what happens with players having no contract after the rollover, but assuming the progress is, disable and then check for contracts, this should be fine. So the option is there, but will it help? Not sure what you have to play as payoff firing in regular mode, on contract mode, the player will ask roughly for 75% of the rest of his contract. Since you have to wait for the rollover, then increase the wage by the regular mode in average by 10% I don't see the benefit to switch, since after the rollover, most of your players will be on a 1 year contract anyway, with less wages. If not the firing of a player in regular mode is much cheaper than in HR mode (which I can't find in the manual) there is no benefit, from my point of view. 2. I think you can switch back right away, since there is no exploit possible, as far as I can see it, except maybe on franchise contracts. You have to pay a fee and you have to renegotiate all contracts. But honestly, I don't know. I can only give you the hint, that sticking to players you don't like is usually not a good idea, especially, if you don't get them away on the market. If you see a market, but at 1st try no one was bidding, try again. 75% of the wage you have to pay anyway, so not much to lose in that case. But if they are not worth the market, cut them, they will only cost you more over time. |
