First, all the reporters we have embedded with the teams have to file their report. Then my staff of indentured servants comes up with a list of catchy phrases to use. Then the outline of the report goes to Pete for approval to make sure we are not being overly mean to any one team. Only after that final approval does the head writer get to work if the following conditions are met. First, the head writer can't be playing golf. Second, there are no inquiries by the SDMOTW committee. Finally, the head writer has to be under the correct mix of caffeine, blood pressure meds and sacred herb smoke.
