The Divisional Playoffs review
Tigers and Ghosts no surprise SEA LIONS and Sea-Reapers See Something Say Something Baltimore Blue Crabs (+51) 9 at Glagow Tigers 16 When both kickers are the mvp's and there is only one touchdown, there is a problem. Crabs getting stuffed on four plays from inside the 5 was the key play in Q2. Both teams were offensively lacking and out of this world defense. Wrexham Exiles(+7.5) 3 at Ghosts of Kho Phangan 48 48 points always = win and its inverse 3 points= loss. The stats show a more even game. Ghost had 100 more offensive yards and 2 picks are the big differences. Our bet: Gaylord Spartans(+9) 23 at HAMBURG SEA LIONS 39 First play of the game. LIONS BALL 15:00 1 and 10 to go on own 20, Les Zook (OC) snaps the ball to Bryant Stover (QB), Bryant Stover (QB) selected Marijan Hofmann (TE/L) as target, Mitch Jameson (DE/L) breaks through, Andreas Danielsson (FB/C) blocks, this outer screen left pass to him is intercepted by Diego Melo (CB/R) at the own 20 (Big I formation vs. 4-3-4) more 14:58 Diego Melo (CB/R) returns the ball, Marijan Hofmann (TE/L) missed the tackle, missed tackle by Burt Cantwell (HB/C), missed tackle by Andreas Danielsson (FB/C), this was a 20 yards interception return touchdown (4-3-4 vs. Big I formation) more 14:55 touchdown more That was THE Spartan highlight. From there on the SEA LION attack put up 533 to 362 total yards. This balanced attack shook off the pick 6 and put up 39 pointswhile dominating Time Of Possession. WELL DONE HAMBUGER WAVE KITTIES Seattle Sea-Reapers(+8) 44 at Manta Rays 38 SDMOTW goes to OT as it should! Seattle takes the ball on a 99 yard drive after being pinned by a Ray punt. 6 total picks in this barnburner with points off those turnovers being 24-10 in favor of the Reapers. Talk about having their poop in a group. Glad the Spartans faced them week 1 when they weren't as grouped. Reapers Last edited on 2026-05-10 02:24:21 by Stabler12 |

I think these last two games, the win against the hamsters wildcard round and then the close loss today, holding the tigers to only 16 points have painted a target on my back of, hey the Crabs are actually half decent, and next season a lot of teams aren't going to be considering me a bye week.

I've actually bought a stock pile of Zatarain’s Crawfish, Shrimp & Crab Boil just for next time we meet! |

Very happy with Exiles this season. 22yo QB Hadyn Howells (and his 21yo back-up) performed really well. We should be stronger next year. |

Some rivalries are built on hatred.
Others are built on respect. But a few rare battles become something even greater — they become part of football history itself. Today, the Supercup playoffs deliver one of those moments. Ghosts of Koh Phangan versus Social Distance Runners. Student versus mentor. The rising force against the legacy of Buziano. Thirty-one times these two franchises have collided across the long history of AC football. Thirty-one wars filled with unforgettable drives, heartbreaking losses, statement victories, and seasons forever defined by a single result. And the numbers tell the story of a dynasty. Nineteen victories for the Social Distance Runners. Twelve for the Ghosts of Koh Phangan. For years, whenever the road became difficult, whenever the lights became brightest, the Runners stood in the way. The last time these two giants met was back in Season 63, in the Supercup itself — another chapter in a rivalry that never truly disappears. Because some matchups are bigger than standings. Bigger than records. Bigger than a single season. And now, in Season 64, destiny brings them together once again. But this time, the stakes are merciless. Win — and step into the elite Top 8 of the Supercup. Lose — and the journey ends immediately. No second chances. No tomorrow. Just one game to survive. For Ghosts of Koh Phangan, this is more than a playoff matchup. It is the chance to finally break a curse that has lasted 16 seasons. The last victory against the Social Distance Runners came all the way back in Season 48 during the Conference Championship. Since then, every meeting has added another scar, another painful memory, another reminder of how difficult it is to overcome greatness. And yet… football has always belonged to those brave enough to challenge history. Because records do not step onto the field. Fear does not score touchdowns. Legends are not protected by the past. Today, none of the previous 31 games will matter anymore. Not the 19 victories. Not the old dominance. Not the painful history. Only four quarters remain. Four quarters to rewrite everything. Can the Ghosts finally defeat the mentor who shaped so much of their journey? Can they silence years of frustration and step into the Supercup elite? Or will Buziano and the Social Distance Runners once again prove why their name carries so much weight across AC football history? One rivalry. One elimination game. One shot at immortality. And somewhere between pressure, legacy, and destiny… another unforgettable chapter is waiting to be written. This is playoff football. This is Supercup football. This is AC at its absolute finest. For one moment, it felt like history was finally about to change.
Down 31:13 at the beginning of the 4th quarter, the Ghosts of Koh Phangan stood on the edge of elimination. The Supercup dream was fading. The Social Distance Runners looked calm, experienced, inevitable — exactly like they had so many times before in this legendary rivalry. And then the Ghosts fought back. 31:20. 31:27. Suddenly, the entire game transformed. The pressure shifted to the Runners. The momentum belonged to Koh Phangan. What once looked like another routine playoff victory for Buziano’s empire turned into survival mode. Every snap carried tension. Every second felt heavier. For a brief stretch of time, the impossible no longer felt impossible. The Ghosts had dragged the giants into deep water. But this is why dynasties survive. When lesser teams panic, champions respond. Just as the comeback began to shake the stadium, the Social Distance Runners answered with the drive that changed everything once more. A brutal response. Cold. Precise. Ruthless. 38:27. And with that, the mountain became too steep. The final score reads 38:30. Another painful chapter in this rivalry. Another playoff victory for the Social Distance Runners. But this game will not be remembered as a collapse. It will be remembered as resistance. Because many teams would have disappeared after trailing 31:13 in a Supercup elimination game against a historic powerhouse. Many teams would have accepted the result long before the final whistle. The Ghosts of Koh Phangan did the opposite. They forced the giants to fight for every inch until the very end. And maybe that is the most dangerous sign of all for the future. Because rivalries like this are not decided by one night alone. They evolve. They grow. They leave scars on both sides. Yes, the record still favors the Runners. Yes, Buziano survives another chapter. Yes, the Ghosts leave the Supercup once again wounded. But somewhere beneath the disappointment, another truth now exists: The gap is closing. And one day, when these franchises meet again under playoff lights, the memory of this game will still remain. Not because the Ghosts lost. But because for one terrifying quarter… the empire almost cracked. |
