1 point ![]() We talking about the UK at Eurovision? ![]() That’s at least one point more than I expected. I have a sense of humor, but that song didn't make my top 10 either. I had the 17-year-old opera singer from France right at the top. Germany did manage to pick up 8 points, after all. Third-to-last place! Oh well—at least we’ll win the FIFA World Cup. But what does England have to console itself with? Unfortunately the Eurovision is considered somewhat as a joke in the UK. None of our top stars will go near it. Hence what we send is generally rubbish! And that song was RUBBISH. Would have been in my bottom 5 for sure. Ukraines was my favorite this year. As for the World Cup... its coming home! Speaking of the World Cup and coming home... How come they put real grass on the field at Metlife for the world cup while the Football teams that call it home still get Astroturf, and notoriously bad astroturf at that. AND WHAT THE HECK IN NEW YORK, NEW JERSEY FIFA!!!! Metlife Stadium is in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Yes It's North Jersey, But it's calling it New York is an insult even for North Jersey. That and we also have soccer nonsense going on in Philly Too, the whole city is going to be basically shut down next month for this soccer thing, When I could be meeting Tom Grossi for his 30 in 30 event. I don't even know why we decided to host this thing in the first place.... Sorry about that Rant. Just had to get if off my chest Because its the biggest sporting event in the world. |

It’s already been 20 years since the FIFA World Cup was here in Hamburg. The whole thing is one huge party. I still remember that it was actually pretty hard to get beer at the supermarket. You’ll see why it’s being promoted so heavily.
NFL fans around the world know small places like East Rutherford, Gary (🐻), or Arlington. But in general, those places are far less known than the nearby metropolis. I remember that Hamburg had a special agreement with FIFA back then. So New York City can officially be a host city even though the stadium is on the other side of the river. |

That one I don’t get, either. And NFL Players of both teams should be pissed about this. I still can’t make up my mind why somebody thought it would be a good idea and great investment in the future of the sport to let the players play on concrete with a rug over it ![]() |
