A few things I would like just a little further clarification on

-How do the dynamics of the individual playbook and plays coincide with the teams overall match settings? For instance what happens when a play set for a certain parameter doesnt match the teams match settings?

-What happens when you have 2+ plays for a certain situation (which I take is the norm)... does the cpu pick the particular play at random or does adjust based on the opp's formation/style?

-How many offensive plays does the avg team have?

Currently, it doesn't matter how many plays you have for a specific situation, the AI will choose the first one listed every time.

The engine acts like

playbook entry found? yes, use it. No, next line
Match settings available? yes, use it. No, go random

There is no overlap, and playbook vs match settings dont need any matching.

as answered already, the playbook checks from top to bottom, and the first entry mathing is the one in use

Great question. In the test area we had playbook with 800+ entries...But I guess having around 20 to 40 will match the most important situations on the field (for offense), and having one entry per offense formation in your defense playbook prepares you on your defense.

Ok... given 2+ plays per situation the playbook order is top to bottom with the top selection getting the go-ahead everytime.

I know this is a new game and A LOT has gone into the details but I'm going to assume this is something that will be addressed in a future update. One of the beautiful things about football and coaching chess is the nuance that goes into each decision so I'm going to make at least two plays per situation and in the hopes that this u p d a t e comes about I'll be a step ahead.

Speaking of... I'm sure this has been brought up enough but any idea when audibles will be avalaible?

Also, how will my team be effected if I only use match settings and zero out my offensive playbook? I like how the match settings allow for more random or percentage based play selection...

The playbook will get its updates, as every other section. Just a little patience, please

Audibles are on the list, but not scheduled yet for developing. The major goal for the coming offseason updates are KO/Punt returns including fumbles and Touchdowns, and the Blitzing thing. If there is time left, we will see whats next. Personally I prefer penalties, but maybe audibles make it. No promise here

Without any playbook you will play 4-3-4 defense all the time - this is not wise.

So use at least the defense playbook and the depth chart - and this should work. But you limit yourself by doing this.

I got you on the defensive playbook... pretty simple to do.

its the offensive side of the ball I think that we need a little more customization with but in due time...
