Pains me to my Niners lose in OT to the Cowboys. Arggg. They had the lead the entire game until the final moments of regulation. They lost too many close games last season. At least they were competitive.

With the new coach they will be fine, I bet.
Not this year, but soon.

Apparently sooner than most thought. wow. I'm in football heaven with the niners at 5-1 and winning 3 east coast road games! It looks as if they will make the playoffs for the first time in over a decade.

The Niners have surprised a lot of people, moving to 5-1 with few stars on the roster (apart from Gore of course!). They just seem to be a well drilled, efficient team, who play to their strengths. If teams can begin to contain Gore though, I don't think there is much else there.

I've been a Philly fan since the late 80s (Randall Cunningham!), and we pretty much gave you a win by being wasteful - loads of star players but no team!

I think the Eagles let all the preseason/offseason hype go to their heads. The "Dream Team?" That is just asking for the Karma to come raining down lol. They are a good team despite the record, but they have to get the ship righted quick before it spirals out of control. That is what happened the Niners last year. Despite the record they were a good team (worse record last year with better talent). They started off bad by first losing that heart breaker to Minnesota with Favre making another miracle throw. After that they lost 3 of the next 4 games by a field goal or less in the final 3 minutes of each game (New Orleans, Atlanta, and of course Philly) to playoff teams. They went 6-5 the rest of the way but the damage was done.
