The upside of watching it in German is that there are less commercials, since they don't manage to sell all the slots.

I forgot the possibility to sell a carte blanche... I think Sat1 did it before in Superbowl XXXV. It was the Ravens-Giants game and every break was filled with a Burger-King-spot or a Visa-spot with two people sitting in the desert with virtual reality glasses singing "Singin in the rain". Heard that tune 50 times that night. Still becoming aggressive when I hear it...

Of course the standard of German commentators is not near the one in the US. But please, don't hate them.

I never thought they could be this bad. I started switching between ESPN and German TV prior to the kickoff, Pats won the coin-toss, the US commentators talking bout Belichick rejecting the ball the last 30 times to see what the opponent wants to do. German commentators? "Yeah, the Patriots will start the game!" They realised it, when the Giants returner had the ball in his hands...

Please, hate them!
