In my opinion i couldent care less for what ppl is doing with their team, its their choice,
It will not affect my tactics, training, games, draft-choices or anything. I play as i like and everyone else is doing what they want, and it is supposed to be like that within the game rules created by pete that is Last edited on 2012-03-21 19:02:45 by KingOfTh3Hil |

exactly its nothing different from the suck for luck thing in real life difference here is you get relegated and if you want to do that its fine theres no guarantees of the bot flush choosing your team anyway

Solana_Steve is well observing everything I build a case because of this and i hope Admins gives an anwser: Team X is playing in Div 1.1 level Team X has activated bot flush Team X gets relegation because is dead last Is there a chance that Team X directly again gets promotion because of activated bot flush? The point is: playing bad - get good draft place - is a thing not can avoid But if such a team gets relegated then directly gets promoted again into a strong Div 1.1 could lead for him to play bad again by purpose next season and repeat get again good draft pick - he did once why not twice So Admins - is this "relegate but promote again because of bot flush" possible? The manager can't control such a situation, therefore the discussion is useless somehow. He would have to contact all human managers of the lower league level (up to 32 * 4) in level 2 to learn about their settings, and the chance ALL these teams deny the botflush is only there in theory |

In case a relegated team can promote directly again, well then he will lose next season again, get a high draft pick again, activate the bot flush and hope to come up again Preachie was right, denying direct promotion of such teams causes more problems than it would/could solve. Turtlemania wrote:
Making sure relegated teams can not promote directly would be a start since in the "lower" division it will harder for them to lose again and get a good draft pick with definetely more bot and new teams around. And even if they chose this way, so let them do - in case they are happy to hang around "down somewhere" - only thing i ask: dont give them chance to promote directly I refuse the implementation of such a feature. As told before, there is no real outcome of such tactics - and therefore there is no need to act against it. And based on the facts: this is a game about management of a football team, and if the manager decides to stay in lower divisions, or to risk the relegation without promoting again from the bot flush - it is still management, and his own decision. I am german, and everybody knows we germans are quite good in creating rules...but I won't act if there is no need for it. Sorry! Until nobody comes up with explaining the real cheating potential, and a way to solve it...it will stay as it is |

For what it's worth I agree with Preachie (and Admin) - I've no problem with a team losing on purpose to get better draft picks and I don't have a problem either with a relegated team staying in 1.1 because of the bot flush. Even if it's not ideal I'm sure most 1.1 managers would rather face a human than a bot, even if it turns out that the human team lost on purpose.
A tanking manager will obviously get a shot at better picks but he'll also: - Lose money from his sponsor - Lose money from home games - Lose money from the fan shop - Lose morale for his players - Have to wait an entire season to play a competitive game So overall I think it's a personal (managerial) choice and it's up to each manager to weight the pros and cons of such strategy.
