Personally I couldn't say for sure if it's a good strategy or not. I guess it makes sense on a theoretical level, but since I don't use the HRD yet, I don't know how it could infleunce this strategy. Plus another factor that could hurt you if you build your strategy on it too much is selling draft players if you run out of money. What's the guarantee their prices won't drop significantly to the current TM once we have 15-20 such players in our own teams? Gotta be careful, but as NYD said it's up to us first managers to test the waters

Simply because the draftees are pretty much all high talented (and I value it there) and so the number of star players is already sufficient to hit the "salary cap" of RZA...

My thoughts exactly!

Pretty much the way I feel, too. I generally don't bother to Scout Talent until the bidding goes north of a $1M.

So what! I don´t care for talent as long as it is not 0,5
I got a 5 Star OL out of the last Draft that hit his Strenght cap at 41 ... nice ^^ so why care about "prime" Talents if he got run over by a DL with 48+ strenght. You could be a hell of a guy in footwork and technique if you are not strong enough and don´t have enough weight you won´t stop anybody on the Oline ...
As I see it most auf my guys will be 90 or more till i got the Trainingpoints to max all of their "important" skills. So i just care for Talent at the Draft of course, but for the "filling up" guys i realy don´t care about their talent, it´s nice to have but if i have to chose between a guy who is high talented but dump as a rock and a guy who is a so so talent and an Einstein (in fooballthings ) as in RL i would take the second guy...

However, you'll be less competitive than many teams for many years and it could be quite frustrating...

Au contraire, mon frère!

I wasn't active on the transfer market, playing with a 45 player roster with draftees in key positions and I'm doing quite okay so far... I don't think I'll compete for any titles, but the word "frustrating" didn't cross my mind yet.

A solid squad with a suitable gameplan can beat a much stronger squad, so as long as the tactics fit the team he builds he still has every chance of doing well.

Personally, I stopped considerign talent several months ago when I worked out how long it would take to train a squad up to max spd/str, and 35+ in at least 2 key skills per position. Talent can possibly rescue a player who has spd/str both capped under 40, but that is just about it for me.

Don’t skimp on cheerleader talent…everywhere else, not so important.
