So i editing my playbook and notice a few similar plays i was set
any 4 2-3 <50 any any Big I formation punt only left flank any 4 4-6 <50 any any Big I formation punt only left flank  I was wondering in 2nd play "yards to go" 4-6 include those yards from 1st play. I mean if i set 4-6 yards and punt do i really need to set play with 2-3 and for example 1-3 yard for punting the ball ?
I know it's a tricky explanation  , but i hope u guys understant wat i want to say. If not, well i will try in a difference way  |

If you want to run the ball on 4th and 1, and you want to punt on any other distance, then you put your run play before the punt. Example: any 4 1 <50 any any Big I formation run only left flank any 4 any <50 any any Big I formation punt only left flank Hope that helps. |

if the range is given by x to y, then you will have to set a rule for being outside of that range, too. Hopefully I understood right |

I have another question and don't wanna create new thread so i write it here:
How long "medium pass" can be ? Let's say there is 3rd down and 7-10 and pass. I worried cuz medium pass may not enough long. And deep pass to risky ? P.s. Don't judge me if my tactics are quite wrong or silly  Last edited on 2012-06-23 10:47:24 by valdes |

I think that normal pass is 0-10 yards, medium pass is 10-25 and deep pass 25+ yards

I have been seeing the options working like this: "Pass" gets you 3-5 yards "Medium" Gets you 5-10 "Deep" gets you 10+ Then it all depends on the Yards after carry that we dont know, but using the pass option (Normal), i dont think i ever got more then 5 yards. Its usualy a screen pass, a dump to the TE or a Slant route by the Wr followed by a quick short pass. At least that is my opinion on the subgect. |

iirc, the official answer is something like:
'Pass' = the QB ties to throw for a 1st down. So on 2nd and 3, he won't look for more than 3 or 4 yards. On 2nd and 9 he will look for 9 yards. So if you set 'Pass" as your tactic, your average completion will probably be about 5 yards, with a long of 9 or 10 yards. |

Screen pass: behind the Line of Scrimmage Short: 0-10 yards over the Line of Scrimmage Medium: 10-20 yards over the Line of Scrimmage Deep: 20+ yards over the line of Scrimmage Please note: the distances mean the progress by the pass itself, not the carrying progress after the catch - this would be Yards after Catch (on ToDo). The yards for the Pass success in the stats are always "Progress from the line of Scrimmage to the end of the play... |
