Since lot of guys like some stats, let me share with you something I calculated today while having some spare time on my work

I took one team in Elite, three seasons in a row to have a good look at a large amount of games, not to judge of one or two games.

And here are the results:

Season 1:
Score 12-4.
Team averages per 16 league games were:
Pass off: 74,7%
Rush off: 71,0%
Pass def: 77,1%
Rush def: 76,7%
Spec team: 77,5%

Opponent averages per 16 league games were:
Pass off: 79,3%
Rush off: 77,1%
Pass def: 80,4%
Rush def: 79,7%
Spec team: 76,1%

Total carries 427 for 2.093 yards for 4,9 per carry (even having in average 8,7% weaker rush off vs opp rush def).
Top 2 (both from this team) in Elite for catching yards:
WR 1: catches 263 for 2.289 yards or 8.7 yards per catch
WR 2: catches 265 for 2.242 yards or 8.5 yards per catch
(even having in average 5,7% weaker pass off vs opp pass def)

Season 2:
Score 10-6
Team averages per 16 league games were:
Pass off 74,6%
Rush off 66,9%
Pass def 77,8%
Rush def 77,1%
Spec team 79,5%

Opponent averages per 16 league games were:
Pass off: 81,4%
Rush off: 80,2%
Pass def: 81,3%
Rush def: 81,7%
Spec team: 82,2%

Total carries 442 for 2.065 yards for 4,7 per carry (even having in average 14,7% weaker rush off vs opp rush def).
Top 2 (both from this team) in Elite for catching yards:
WR 1: catches 259 for 2.147 yards or 8.3 yards per catch
WR 2: catches 250 for 2.032 yards or 8.1 yards per catch
(even having in average 6,6% weaker pass off vs opp pass def)

Season 3:
Score 10-6
Team averages per 16 league games were:
Pass off: 74,4%
Rush off: 71,2%
Pass def: 78,7%
Rush def: 77,2%
Spec team: 80,3%

Opponent averages per 16 league games were:
Pass off: 83,1%
Rush off: 82,7%
Pass def: 83,6%
Rush def: 83,5%
Spec team: 80,0%

Total carries 400 for 2.196 yards for 5,5 per carry (even having in average 12,4% weaker rush off vs opp rush def).
Top 2 (both from this team) in Elite for catching yards:
WR 1: catches 287 for 2.420 yards or 8.4 yards per catch
WR 2: catches 271 for 2.254 yards or 8.3 yards per catch
(even having in average 9,2% weaker pass off vs opp pass def)

So totals for 48 games are:
Score: 32-16 (win ratio 66,6%)
Carries 1.269, total yards 6.354, yards per carry 5.0
WR 1: catches 811, yards 6.809, yards per catch 8.4
WR 2: catches 784, yards 6.575, yards per catch 8.4

So team that has ratings lower than most of other league teams manages to get three trips to PO, while getting huge numbers with offense weaker than most opponents.

Not one game, not two games, but 48 games.

And with a massive 34-14 WC victory vs team that had 87,3%, 88,4%, 86,4%, 83,9%, 91,9% ratings (his ratings are like averages).
But that was one game, I am not digging into it

Enjoy guys, there are a lot to learn from this

I'd guess that playbook makes up for the disadvantage in strenght, no?
At least it seemingly did in our last encounter with the Ukies...

Talking about games vs ELITE teams, where I believe at least 90% of them has massive PBs

I have seen quite a few massive playbooks. However, in my opinion only a few managers are truly adjusting them. I have seen a few with many rules enabled and disabled to allow for some adjustment. If we talk about complex playbooks, we should talk about the frequency of adjustments, as well.

I believe that a team that has those kind of numbers with those kind of ratings is really adjusting his PB from opponent to opponent.

For example, he is not passing all the time to the same two receivers and all passes are outside.

That team probably has a complex PB that allows him to use variety of catching weapons in all areas of the field.

Nothing better than the San Diego Blitz when you’re already on a losing streak

Just a side note:

A) even the same playbook can result in different outcomes, depended on the amount of wildcard entries. So even with no adjustments, the outcome can look different.

B) playbook is the 2nd level, 1st level is game settings. Means, you can have a wide mix of plays without a playbook or with a small one.

Huh? If so... how does the playbook overwrite the game settings?

PB is first level.

When you click on ? beside game settings it says "it may be overwritten by playbook"
