I have adjusted my roster a bit and have a few of my better players needing TC/Morale, but Reapers may be competitive enough. I'll join if you need me, but don't particularly care either way.

Just have to say, I'm looking forward to next season. My team is going to be pretty solid this year with a few key offseason additions for the next season or two. Draft is just sugar on top. I'm calling it now.. Reapers make the playoffs for the first time in season 56. Don't think we'll win it all, but gonna be competitive and a threat to make the conference championship game.

My preview of tomorrow's game:
Tomorrow's Fire Bowl matchup features the heaving hitting Mustangs travelling to play the still undefeated Idaho Idlers! The Stangs path to the Fire Bowl has taken them three seasons and a lot of disappointment and heartbreak. However, the Mustangs ripped through their regular season opponents in Season 55, only dropping a few games. Even though they were a WC team, no one has ever doubted the strength of this team. This is the first Fire Bowl appearance for the Stangs, but they have previously won the Claymore D1 Bowl. The Idlers are led by a seasoned veteran of the game, Olband, and have just completed an exceptional undefeated season in Fire after relegating from Elite this last season. They have been tested, but have bested all takers this season. As previously written, the Idlers are two-time Fire Bowl champs with their last win coming in Season 48. Olband has gotten the most out of his roster, wrapping up a successful rebuilding season. If the Idlers can get the passing game going, there may not be any stopping the Idlers. Through some very unscientific analysis of the teams and rosters, and knowing what I know about both teams, I feel the edge is going to be with the Mustangs. I think they have a strong advantage that may be difficult to overcome. The Stangs rank in the top 10 of every category while the Idlers have had issues with their passing game this season. Still, I would never count Olband out. I think either of these teams are completely capable of winning this game, but I am going to go with Olband on this one and say the Idlers pull off a close win. Final score Idlers 35 - Mustangs 31. Nothing at all against the Mustangs, I just take experience over what appears to be a good roster advantage in close matchups. Congrats to both teams for making it here and we look forward to seeing what you guys accomplish in Elite next season. Good luck to both of you and may the best manager win!  |

You should feel confident. I feel like Fire is going to be tough next season, but I think you are right there in the mix for sure. We will see if we lose anyone, and who we might gain for that matter, but I expect a competitive field of teams next season. As far as winning it all, you never know! Many managers, me included, end up winning it all and were totally surprised by it when it happened! I thought I was easily two seasons away when I pulled it off the first time and I see many posts from others stating they did not expect to win their league's bowl game. |

Nice analysis, boatek.
I think your spread of 4 points is too high. I'd say it's more likely to be a who had the ball at the end type of game. Unless the mustangs change their playbook , then the idler offense could be doing a lot of idling on the sidle-ines. |

Well good game to the Mustangs and congratulations on being thr new Fire Champion. The defense was outstanding! I thought my boys had a chance partway through the 4th until we threw (yet another) interception just inches from the goal and it was run back 51 yards!
