Thought I'd post a playoff u p d a t e and perhaps my own predictions the rest of the way.

If the playoffs started today:

AC

Bye: Pigs and Fajny

Playing in the first round:
Steely vs War Dogs
Stuttgart vs RedBlack

NC

Bye: SF and Fighters

Playing in the first round:

Steamrollers vs Yurop
Girona vs Northern Riviera

Who is still in the chase?

In the AC the only other team with a winning record is Madrid.

In the NC it is a different story....

Jersey, Rabbits, and Kolin all have winning records and are within a game of either the wild card, the division lead, or both.

I will post later my own predictions of the final picture.

in AC don't count out Duran Durans ... they have a lot of winnable games left and in my eyes can still clinch a playoff spot

besides they got my lots of money so far in the betting game

It isn't because I think they are bad...it is that there is no way they gain and take Fajny. That leaves the final 2 wild card slots available.

Right now:

RedBlack and War Dogs are 6-3, that is a 2 game advantage over Duran Duran. Also consider the the resurgent Madrid is also 6-3.

Duran Duran has to outgain at least 2 of those 3 to get a wild card spot by a margin of 2 games or more.

Red Black has a couple of tough games left including Pigs and War Dogs.

War Dogs have 4 tough games left (2 vs Stuttgart, Red Black, and Rabbits).

Madrid has the toughest road with games vs Fajny, Fighters, War Dogs, Duran Duran, and Yurop. However I think that Madrid has the most control over his playoff hopes since he plays 2 of those vying for those wildcard spots.

Duran Durans have Fighters, Fajny, and Madrid left on the schedule as tough games. He has to win 2 of those to make up for the 2 game deficit. Let's assume he beats either Fighters or Madrid for the sake of argument. He has to beat Fajny (he has had success vs Fajny before, but Fajny is on a freaking roll right now, I mean, damn he took Steely apart 45-0! Then another win vs one of the other two is a tough one...

So I guess he isn't eliminated but it is a TOUGH job ahead.

I plan on winning the rest of my games so count me at the wild card.

I saved my MotY from last season so I can use two of them on our next game.

That's how it works, right?

Update:

In the AC the only change so far (if the playoffs started today) is that Steely and Stuttgart would swap who they are playing.

Who still has a chance to make it to the playoffs?

The only two teams left that could (in my opinion of course) are Duran Duran and Madrid.

Schedules of those playoff spots up for grabs:
Stuttgart: Black Storm of Omsk, War Dogs, Pigs, Black Storm of Omsk
War Dogs: Madrid, Stuttgart, Red Black, Cybot
Red Black: Smashas, Bot, War Dogs, Lightworks
Duran Duran: Eagles, Cowboys, Madrid, Fanjy
Madrid: War Dogs, Yurop, Duran Duran, Cowboys

No one above has an easy schedule.

In the NC the two byes are the same.

Now it would be Steamrollers vs Northern Riviera and Girona vs Jersey. The change is that Jersey is in and Yurop is out.

Team still in it:
Yurop
Rabbits

Our luck is due to run out. And if not, Girona would have no trouble slamming the door. Still, not a bad start for our first 1.1 season.
