I live in Great Barr, somewhat more local to you

Quite ironically I actually live in Leeds now in Burley, probably an area you know well if you went to uni there!

I came from across the pond to study in Birmingham and one of the guys I lived with in halls was from near Solihull so we went to one match to support the local team lol. That's why I named my team after Solihull Moors. Only 3 years out of uni though so I'm still fresh faced!

Righto, starting to take a bit of shape, and possibly a bit less grumpy...

1. Solihull Moors 4-0 (=) There was a time when they won games with their D. Now they appear to have an O too. Be afraid.

2 Botev Plovdiv 4-0 (+2) You know what? I think these guys may actually now be for real.

3. Huddersfield Hippos 4-0 (-1) Unconvincing against a side which was close to relegation last season

4. Lucea Cardinals 3-1 (+3) 3 convincing wins in a row since they were downed on the opening day, and normal service appears to be resumed.

5 Leeds Celtics 3-1 (+3) ditto

6 Monster Piskots 3-1 (-3) Pretty desperate on offence, though their opposition cannot be underestimated.

7 Naprzod Marsz 3-0 (-2) bye week

8 SV Furpach 3-1 (*) Hard fought win over playoff calibre Firenze shows SV may be capable of mounting a challenge of their own

9 The Swiss 3-1 (-3) Still likely to grab a wildcard, but this was a sobering outing.

10 Brisbane Meteors 2-2 (*) The Meteors have done well to emerge at 50% after a tough opening schedule, have they finally found some consistency?

11 RGIII
12 Gotham City Bats
13 Firenze Fappers
14 Idrosburgi Verona
15 Gladiators

I'm dizzy.

I didn't think we qualified for Power Rankings due to being awful.

Late with these:

1. Solihull Moors 5-0 (=) Look, they will stay top until they get beat. Sometime after hell freezes over I guess.

2 Botev Plovdiv 5-0 (=) A fairly boring top 3...

3. Huddersfield Hippos 5-0 (=) ....because there's no change

4. Lucea Cardinals 4-1 (=) not here either

5 Leeds Celtics 4-1 (=) or here

6. Naprzod Marsz 4-0 (+1) It's 'beat up The Swiss' time, they just didn't do it quite as well as Solihull

7 Monster Piskots 4-1 (-1) Ensuring the status quo is preserved in the top 7.

8 Idrosburghi Verona 3-2 (+6) Quietly going about their work and claiming a few scalps along the way.

9 Gotham City Bats 3-2 (+3) Do they still have it in them to repeat last season's steady run to the title? Would anyone care to bet against that?

10 Firenze Fappers 3-2 (+3) They would probably struggle to win any other division.

11 SV Furpach
12 Venice Panthers
13 The Swiss
14 Gladiators
15 Sacramento XSV

I think he means AC division... Although I think if you were in my division it could be close. You could definitely win one of the divisions from the weaker conference. Like NC North.

Big game today though! Hippos v Celtics. I want to support my conference, but I also want to be the first AC team to go undefeated and this is Hippos toughest game. Decisions, decisions...

Screw it. Come on Celtics!

Stop being nice Holmeboy... I meant any other division in Sea Devils 1.1

Seriously though, the Fappers are a decent team, consistently looking at a record between 11-5 and 9-7, but yet to make the jump. Nobody can afford to take them lightly, but equally, nobody can expect them to consistently beat any of the teams in the top 7 (plus the Bats). Sure, they will pull off some shocks - however it is when those wins cease to be shocks that they know they have made the step up.

It can be done though - look at the way GCB suddenly turned it on when it mattered last season. And there was Venice a couple of seasons ago.

Thats a fair enough assessment. And I agree that they're very good but would struggle to win consistently against top teams. But Fappers were finalists not too long ago and in a division like mine which isnt super competitive a win v me on the day and a MOTY could be all it would take.

A division with Hippos/Warriors/Brisbane for example I think is too competitive...

edit: I suppose I don't think they wouldn't consistently win any other division
