Oh man, Harrisburg did fall BOT.
Lots of BOTs this season.

Yes, sad to see a team on 10-6 go bot (even though i do get them in the playoffs). That was a great season from the while division there; 1st place on 14-2 and the other three all on 10-6 (and Harrisburg still make the playoffs after taking a typical bot beating!) My oh my!

The town of Torchwood is celebrating tonight after a 30-24 win by the Aliens over the Crows secures the division and a playoff spot.

This was a really tightly fought game. Whoever won it would get the divisional crown and a playoff spot. The loser would join the Las Pezia Pigs, who also had a good season (9-7), in taking an early exit from gameplay this season.

We are very happy to have won the division in this our 3rd season in 1.1

For me did the season look a bit odd, with some older teams having problems, but OK, my team had such phases, too.

The NC playoff field does look a bit weaker than the AC one, but only because of the quite weak NC East and the very bad timing of Harrisburg going BOT.

The AC does only field 1 weaker team, I think the Marines did benefit from their schedule and some other team would be better equiped for the next games, but that's life, even in real life does such happen.

Here are my predictions:
2015-10-06 17:00 Wildcard Playoff
Harrisburg Fire vs. Torchwood Aliens
BOT-game, Aliens will advance

Manchester Machine vs. Sentinels
Sentinels did win their division, but I think this is the end of their playoff run. Machine is one of the 6 best teams of the whole region, so they should win here.

Marines vs. Berinsfield Hornets
Also here a quite onesided competition. I think the Marines will get spanked. Funny thing, the never played against each other.

Skyzo Shenkos vs. Panteras Assassinas
That's the highlight of the wildcards and one of the stronger teams has to go. Last meeting was in season 16 and Assassinas were never able to win against them. I think with a home game and a slightly better team should Panteras be primed to break that series and win this.

I did make another mistake and was not online after the last season game to u p d a t e my training and will have to play under low physical condition... again... :/

Also I'll have my Supercup game Monday with SAS, which will also not help.

I will try to win, but have no hope already.

Good luck to everyone this playoff season!

The Blood Kings are taking today off and will be well rested for their playoff game on Saturday.

Sentinels were held scoreless in 3 of 4 quarters and never stood a chance.

A wild 4th quarter did lift the score way higher than needed. Lots of played and stopped 4th downs gave the Hornets instant striking field position in that quarter.

Looks like that Supercup loss did the Assassinas no good.
The QB had 5 interceptions and 4 were returned to a TD.
Too much to win.

Now let's get the divisional playoffs going.
2015-10-10 17:00 Divisional Playoff
Berinsfield Hornets vs. Strike Team
Hard to judge. Without the Strike Teams Supercup Playoff game, I would take them as the winner, without hesitation. But they might lose in that game and then it becomes a much more open game.
I still pick Strike Team, but in a very close game.
Why?
Because they did play against each other already this season and the Hornets did lose big and it's a home game and they have 2 days to recover from the eventual moral loss.

Manchester Machine vs. Blood Kings
Oh man, they did play already twice against each other this season and did split the series. There is no Supercup disturbance and all teams do look fine.
Give me a coin ...
No, wait, I have an argument: It's a Blood Kings home game!
No, wait, during the season did always the away team win.
Give me a coin ...
No wait, maybe then it's time to get it done at home?
Argh ...
You can think about this as long as you like, I pick the Blood Kings.
But to be honest, that was a mental coin flip.
This can go either way.

Skyzo Shenkos vs. Secret Air Service
I would expect the winner out of this to get into the bowl.
SAS did win both meetings during the season, but they will have a supercup game before and might lose that.
If that happens, I think Shenkos will have a big chance to win this.
If not, the Shenkos will probably lose in a close one.
My pick is SAS as winner.

Torchwood Aliens vs. Burnaby Bruisers
The Bruisers did gain strength over the past few seasons and this can go either way, since Aliens did also gain some steam.
I pick the Bruisers as home team, but I'm only 60% on that one.
I wouldn't be surprise to see Alien win this, but I think it's more likely Bruisers will prevail in a close match.

Not really a close game, but could have gone different.

Blood Kings did win the turnover battle and had a good defense when it did count most.

I'm not sure this can be blamed on the supercup loss only.
But for sure it did open the game more.
SAS had to play catchup, went even ahead, but lost in the 4th quarter by a missed field goal.

The Aliens looked like the sure winner at the half, leading 21:3.
Even 28:3, then 28:10.
17 points by the Bruisers did not help in the 4th to lose.
The closest game.

Well, well.
Lets have a look at the Conference Championship games.

2015-10-13 17:00 Conference Championship
Skyzo Shenkos vs. Strike Team
Given the circumstances, I give Strike Team the edge here.
They won also as home team during the season and do have overall the slightly stronger team.

Torchwood Aliens vs. Blood Kings
This one looks tougher, but for me it's all Blood Kings.
Stronger team, at home.
Aliens have to play 100% perfect to win here.

Looks like we will have some new faces in the elite league next season, if Shenkos do lose.
What i can't predict of cause is a thrown game, because some manager does think he don't want to play Elite or is not ready to play there.
We had not many of those losing-on-purpose-managers so far in the monarchs region, in other regions this is quite often the case.

Torchwood Aliens vs. Burnaby Bruisers . What an amazing game - though watching it (As) Live was not good for the heart

It was a superb game between two good teams. We won the first half and the Bruisers won the second. It really could have gone either way. Well played Bruisers
