I'm totally for this. I do understand the concerns above, but I think the positives outweigh the negatives.

I voted yes because it doesn't really change much and it might actually save a few inexperienced players a little money. Heck, it should save everyone a little bit because now it will be an average instead of based on highest. If it encourages anything, it encourages a more balanced build to get the best bang for the buck.

I would try to keep it simple, with an example, may something like this:
"A player's salary is based on the average of his 2 highest skills, excluding Speed and Strength. For example, a player with 35 Agility and 35 Blocking will cost the same as a player with 40 Passing and 30 Vision because (35+35)/2 = (40+30)/2" |

Maybe also add Int and TW and all infos on the player page, which have no influence on the salary, to make it clear for even the newest n00b:
excluding Intelligence, Teamwork, Speed and Strength. Age, Talent, Rating, Background, Morale, Physical Condition and Team Chemistry have no influence on the Salary. Experience a very minor influence. Out of my experience, the 2nd sentence is way too clear for Pete's liking |
