Hi Pete,
The manual says: If the decision is to play in Power Mode all skills are set to 40 at game time. You won't see this in the skill bars nor will you see it in the player details. Intelligence and Physical Condition are not affected by this setting. Could you please clarify on Experience? It is not considered as a skill so is it set up to the same value for all players or does it stay the same a in normal Mode? |

I'd like to elaborate on that, and even though I already see that this question will likely draw a hazy answer, it would be uncharacteristic for me to not ask anyway
If a Friendly Cup is played in Power Mode and all playing skills are set to 40, are they then still affected by the EXP penalty that's written about in the Manual? |

It seems, I do not get your question. Maybe it was a too long day, sorry. Could you please ask a bit more specific?

Of course.
As Friendly Cups played in Power Mode are set up, players of both teams that take the field to play have their skills set to 40. Experience does influence the game play in a way that each half star of EXP missing to get to 5 causes a 10 % hit on the skill. So a player with BLO 40 and 3* EXP actually plays with BLO 24, a player with 4,5* EXP actually plays with BLO 36. Does that happen in Power Mode, too? |

It states that each 10% of exp (from 0 to 50, so every 5) is represented by 0.5 stars. The penalty amount is not described. My personal guess is, it reacts similar to the way exp works on coaches, were at 4.0* you have basically no penalty and with less you get a small penalty and with more you get a bonus. In my guide I have THAT effect described. But the question is valid, whether EXP is also normalized (to for example 4.0* to all) or stays as it is and a 1.0* player is playing with less calculated skill because of the penalty, than the 5.0 star player who gets even a bonus (maybe). So far my understanding was 'all other values are used as they are' so TW, PC, MOR, INT and EXP are crucial and make a difference. Last edited on 2024-10-24 11:28:27 by jack6 |

I was thinking the same when I examined the Manual the first time about this topic yesterday and read something like that, too... but right now it does not say anything about "each half star is 10 % EXP, starting from 50" Last edited on 2024-10-24 11:48:15 by Chrill |

I have to admit, that this is under 'common knowledge' and not explicit written in the manual, for whatever reason. I think it was discussed / clarified in the past, but never put into the manual.
However for coaches it is in the manual and I think it works all the same. |
