I think if you look at the QBs of the top-10 teams, I think you'd fine that there skills levels differences are pretty marginal. Steve SD Blitz |

I absolutely agree Steve, the random factors seem to matter more now that it's been made much easier to create a great team in terms of players' skills. Better draftees, Premium YA, Mediacenter money and more recently faster training all made player development much easier than when the Elite League was created.

Yeah...I spent a large fortune to buy Nathan Mauro back in season #12 - - maybe I over paid, but he was also part of my most dominate run, so I guess it was money well spent. 3 pretty good teams will be relegated after this season. especially  to the NC West for a long time even the NC West had a hard timer to crack .500 before the Bobbers emerged and now they could put 3 teams in the playoffs. Also 4th place Erudite had some close losses and could have been knocking on the playoff doors with a little bit more luck.

When you trail by 3 points and fail to convert a 4th and 1 on your own your own 30 with less then 6 minutes to go, you think it is a loss. I did face first and goal from my own 6 with under 4:30 to go: ok, now it is a loss hold the opponent to a FG: check get the ball back inside your own 20 less than 3 minutes remaining: check drive down the field: check score the tying TD from the opp 5 with 4 seconds remaining: check win the coin toss in OT: check drive down the field and score a winning TD: check tough luck mate!
but a great game and I have probably used all my luck left for the season in just one game

All that and my kicker missed a FG in regulation that would have made a late TD a non issue. Yep I thought my team finally showed up. Congrats. I'm certain to be relegated now. |
