Sorry for using MOTY against you.
It was not for the "The Battle of the Beltway!" rivalry I tryed all I could to keep my team away from the 10-4 battle for post season.
Now Ravens future is in our hand and I have not to rely anymore on a Constanta Sailors win over Växjö Gladiators AFC on week 17.
As marinarul said "strange things happen in AC South!"

We're good, actually I kinda figured it was coming if it was still available for you. It was a bit of a milestone for me as I believe it was the first time I've been MOTY'd

I would love to see 3 AC South teams in the playoffs but in the same time the Sailors will fight for the homefield advantage till the last round....so, everything could happen....

Week 16 Headlines
Spartans win in pivotal matchup against Verona, 24-23
In an instant classic, the Michigan State Spartans came back from a 10pt halftime deficit and survived a sloppy 4th qtr to pick up a crucial victory in a game that had ramifications on both league's playoff picture. After falling behind on the opening drive 7-0, Idrosburghi Verona sprung to life scoring the next 20 points aided by some questionable 4th down attempts by the Spartans resulting in short fields for sandrez's team. But with time winding down in the first half, MSU nailed a 42yd FG to cut into Verona's lead, 20-10. The Spartans started with the ball in the 4th qtr, down 23-17, and scored the go ahead TD with 11:11 remaining in the game. Then things got wild. After a three-and-out by Verona, the Spartans were marching down the field again, looking to pull away when CB Cirino DallaCorte intercepted a pass on his own 34 and returned it all the way to the MSU 31. Verona moved the ball inside the MSU 10, and on a third down and one, could get the first down, settling for a 24yd FG attempt to take the lead with 5:33 remaining. But K Zeno Schiavone missed the chip shot! Again the Spartans took over and marched into Verona territory seemingly securing the win. But like a villain in a horror movie, sandrez wouldn't stay dead. Verona CB Maurilio Zanatta intercepted a pass with 59 seconds remaining on his own 29 and took it to the MSU 37. But with time winding down and some poor clock management, Verona ended with the ball on the MSU 11 yd line. Perhaps doubting his kicker after the earlier miss influenced this decision, but Verona had a make-able FG attempt from the MSU 19 yd line with 30 seconds remaining, but opted to run one more play only to watch time expire.

Marsz! beats Wasteland Wolves in ugliest game of the year
While some may appreciate a good defensive battle, this one may have tested even the most enthusiastic of defense purists. Naprzód Marsz! out kicked the Wasteland Wolves, 2FGs to 1 to win 6-3...in overtime. Both teams struggled to get very deep into their opponent's territory resulting in a lot of long FG attempts and particularly rough day on Superpippo's K Bryan De Wit who made one of five attempts, though most were 50yd+ attempts. Grzymisław mercifully ended this one for fans by taking the opening OT drive to the Wolves' 18 yd line and kicked the game winner.

Playoff Picture Update
There still is a lot to be decided on the final week of play. But here is what we know or can assume based on the PD and upcoming opponents.

AC 1-Constanta Sailors, 2-Wasteland Wolves, 3-Konjarnik HighTowers, 4-Schrodingers Cats, 5-Baltimore Ravens, 6-Michigan State Spartans/Växjö Gladiators AFC.
It is straight forward for the Spartans; win, and you're in. But that win will have to be against the same Naprzód Marsz! team that just beat the 2 seed. But if the Spartans lose, the Gladiators will have a chance to move into the sixth slot...if they can beat the top seeded Sailors. Should be an entertaining pair of games.

NC 1-Dortmund Griffins, 2-Rainbow Warriors, 3/4-Dalton Catamounts/DC Washingtonians, 5/6-Philadelphia Phoenix/Idrosburghi Verona/Bautzen Greywolves
Even more is in play in the NC side as three teams enter the final week tied at 10-5 for the two wild card spots. And the 3 and 4 seeds are yet to be decided as the PD between Dalton and DCW is razor thin. It just so happens that the two division leaders get to play two of the wild card contenders when Dalton hosts Verona and DCW travels to Philly. Meanwhile, Bautzen travels to play the NY Revolvers, a game Damion ought to win. But even with the win, he will be waiting on the results of the other two games because if all three win (or lose) the Greywolves trail in PD and would miss out.

It was a weirdass game to take a morale hit from. My offense didn't do well, but didn't do that bad either. No INT's, no fumbles, QB has a 74% completion rating. Just that damn kicker He could've made the 44 or 47. And then something I've never experienced in RZA so far: appearantly overtime is stilll under the old nfl rules, any score wins, whether it's first possesion with a fg or not....

Week 17 Headlines
Greywolves shot down by Revolvers, miss playoff opportunity
The Bautzen Greywolves entered the final week of the season needing to win and get some help in order to make the playoffs. They got some help from the Dalton Catamounts, who beat Idrosburghi Verona, but they came up flat against rising division rival, NY Revolvers. The Revolvers came out ready to play taking the opening drive to the house aided by a daring 4th and 1 attempt in his own territory. The Greywolves responded by taking the next kick off all the way to the Revolver 35yd line, but the NY defense stiffened up forcing a three-and-out and Damion punted from the same spot. The Revolvers never looked back after that, taking the next drive 95 yards to take the 14-0 lead. The two teams each tacked on 4 FGs each and the Revolvers ended the Greywolves' season with the 26-12 win.

Philly Phoenix dominates DCW to secure playoff bid
The holiday traffic must have made the DC Washingtonian bus late in arriving in Philadelphia, as DCW was a no-show during the first half in a 31-14 loss to the Philadelphia Phoenix. Oft-maligned Philly QB Rusty Torress was on point today, going 33 for 38 for 281 yards and 4 TDs. DCW QB Alois Pytlík was pretty accurate, too, going 24 for 29, but coughed up a costly fumble deep in his own territory while trying to come back from 14 down. Worpex capitalized on the turnover and took a commanding 21-0 halftime lead. DCW is looking like a team that peaked too early as they enter the playoffs in a 1-2 slump. Meanwhile, after a loss to the Washingtonians in week 4 to drop 1-3, the Phoenix have gone 10-2 since. The two will meet in a rubber match in the wild card round.

Big second half means a playoff bid for the Michigan State Spartans
The Michigan State Spartans earned the AC 6th seed with an offensive display in beating Naprzód Marsz! 37-20. The win eliminated the Växjö Gladiators AFC, who lost anyway. The Gladiators were the tough-luck team of the season, going 11-5 against a hard schedule but missing the playoffs. In this one, Grzymisław's team looked to play the spoiler role and got off to a strong start taking leads of 13-3 and 20-10. But the Spartan defense shut out Marsz! in the second half and the offense lit the scoreboard up. MSU tied the score at 20 with a 3rd qtr TD and took the lead back for good with a FG to start the 4th qtr, which was followed by a lead-padding TD about 40 seconds later. MSU tallied 585 total yards of offense and couldn't be denied.

'Re-match' is the theme of the Wild Card Round
The playoffs are all set to begin with some familiar games in the wild card round.
In the NC, fans will get to watch two divisional rivalry games as 6. Idrosburghi Verona (10-6) visits 3. Dalton Catamounts (14-2) and 5. Philadelphia Phoenix (11-5) goes to 4. DC Washingtonians. The Catamounts went 2-0 against Verona, winning both games by 20+ and will be the favorites in this one. Philly and DCW split their games with the home team winning each time. Having home field advantage could give the Washingtonians a slight edge.
In the AC, the 4-5 game features a rematch of a thrilling game earlier this season when the Baltimore Ravens (13-3) look to avenge a 24-23 loss to the Schrodingers Cats (12-4). Dolfin beat PJ on a FG with only about 30 seconds remaining in that one, so this one looks to be a virtual toss-up. The 6. Michigan State Spartans (12-4) got hammered by the 3. Konjarnik HighTowers (12-4), 35-16, earlier this season, but have been hot since with only one loss. The HighTowers, on the other hand, have been up and down since that game. Still, it is hard to overlook the lopsided score and home field advantage.
