WV BoBcats (8-2) at Green Mark Packers (10-0)

These two teams have a long history. In recent seasons, the BoBcats have gotten the best of the Packers, so this should present an interesting matchup as the undefeated Packers would like to keep their momentum going forward.

Offense

The Bobcats are propelled by the sharp mind of their QB Florian Marquet and the fleet feet of FB Hugo Billon. Marquet has passed for the 2nd most yards and touchdowns in Admirals 1.1 to date. He does a great job of spreading the ball around to his complement of weapons in this dangerous spread scheme. Billon doesn't take a backseat to his backfield mate at QB and has rushed for the 5th most yards and touchdowns in the league.

The dangerous duo of WR Don Garber and WR Adalbert Von Croy enter this contest looking for more opportunities to exploit. Look for Garber to keep up his league-leading TD pace, but don't be surprised if Van Croy overtakes his teammate as QB Theodoros Schroder leans on both players very heavily. With all that said, the other dangerous duo, RBs Nicholas Camp and Leopoldo Reyes are primed to keep the Packers on schedule in the rushing game. Let us not forget, that tandem has carried the Packers to the 3rd highest rushing total in Admirals 1.1.

Defense

Both squads are impressive at forcing opposing QBs into throwing interceptions, but the Packers back 7 should come with a "Proceed with Caution" sign. With 20 INTs to date, 2nd best in Admirals, it cannot be said more clearly, "DO NOT THROW THE FOOTBALL AT CB Marcos Gomez!" With 8 interceptions in 10 games, Gomez has the 3rd most INTs in the league. Although most game planners probably have Gomez in the back of their mind when scheming for the Packers, at the front of their mind should be 1 name, LB Kevin Darsha. Coming into today's contest, Darsha has 17 sacks on the season nearly 44% of his teams 5th ranked total output! These Packers are built to destroy opposing passing offenses.

Although the BoBcats don't generate the same headlines the Packers do defensively, they are a very solid unit starting with their defensive line. Without all the gaudy sack numbers other teams have to aid their tackle for loss totals, the BoBcats are responsible for 97 tackles for loss, good enough for a 4th place tie in the league. This productivity has led them to the 4th ranked rushing defense in Admirals 1.1 behind the violence and the furor of DLs Amir Gois, Kamil Ibraheem, and Felix Gerber.

Special Teams

97.9%. That's the FG percentage of Packers K Luciano Schulz. BoBcats K Mustafa Rashid's FG percentage doesn't compare, not many other kickers do, but what's interesting is his lack of usage. While the Packers regularly use Schulz week-to-week, the BoBcats have only used Rashid 9 time in 10 games! Rashid is not employed for his FG kicking prowess, he is strictly an extra point maker.

Analysis

Both teams are dangerous offensively, but what impresses me most is their abilities to stop the opposing team's rushing offense. Due to the scheme, I believe that the Packers may have more difficulty deciphering the BoBcats gameplan, but with a diverse, versatile attack of their own, they offer some difficulties as well.

Prediction

Green Mark Packers
