Sounds good Kevin. I will highlight a few games that we need to pay attention to then!

Barossa Bulldogs 2-6 vs Duluth Eskimos 2-6

Kokomo Mantis 6-2 vs. Inbhir Narinn 4-4 (I don't care who has what record in this series, as they are always great games!

Norfolk Destroyers 3-5 vs. Waukesha Wolverines 2-6

Rome Centurians 7-1 vs. Kalapana Wild Thangs 6-2 (this should be a great game. Both teams are routinely in the playoffs and may be a game we could see in the playoffs later this season. They have not faced each other in a few seasons, but this could be the game of the week)

Spitting Llamas 5-3 vs. Valiant Pinoys 3-5 (these two teams normally provide us some great games just like the Mantis and Narinn game above. Pinoys have a 5-3 lead in the series between them and this is anyone's game!)

Vicious Attack Dogs 4-4 vs. Totoras Patriots 7-1 (let's see if the Attack Dogs can turn around their previous loss to the Patriots earlier in the season. Last game was 55-27 Patriots).

Trust me... we wont

Great game Narinn....all came down to the final few drives in the 4th quarter. As you were moving in for the score and down 14-9, I picked off a pass, moved the ball down the field and scored to make it 21-9. Great game, as without that interception, you would have won the game!

In other great games, Totoras Patriots sneaked out a win against Vicious Attack dogs 24-21. The Patriots scored on their final drive of the game to give them the go ahead touchdown and the Attack Dogs just ran out of time and didn't want to kick a 55 yard FG to tie the game.

In another game, Rome Centurions controlled the game most of the way, and Kalapana Wild Thangs just could not muster a comeback in the 4th although they gave it a great try! Going for it on 4th down on their own 20 kind of set them back a bit in the 4th though.

And in yet another great game, Duluth Eskimos came from being down 1 in the 4th to score 2 TD's to take the win. That Walkoff TD sealed the deal!

Great write up Tpal70
It's another play I need to add in my playbook. 60 yard FG attempts with less than 30 seconds to go down 3 or less.

Also need some deep passes late in games as well.

#8 A question to ask active managers would be when going for it on 4th down makes the most sense?

In the playbook you can use "behind by x points" as a variable. That is what I would say determines whether to go for it on 4th down.

I am quite hestistant to use it in short yardage situations as it can be quite hard to get 2 yards if your run is not performing well in a game. It is definitely harder I would say then it is in the NFL to consistently get say 2 yards on 4th down.

In principle I like to go on 4th when I am in the red zone but I don't always take the risk tbh (before the game I mean then when setting up playbook etc).

I take risks on 4th down. Never in own side of the field.

Here's to wishing our elite mates a strong finish. Been a rough start up there for them.

Ahhh.....you misinterpret. We all chipped in $250 and the 4th place finisher gets the $1000 pot.

We want the AC East in Elite to be a record breaker - least number of total wins by the teams in the division and fewest games won to make the playoffs - we must be close to immortality ?

Change in the rules... you 4 are staying there until you all have a winning season at the same time.
