Great game Space Kraken, it was close until the 4th quarter.

13 sacks was a disaster and no way of getting any sort of drive going later in the game. No idea why my OL had a crap day, but congrats on making the final and a shot at the Elite league.

All the best mate, well done

I appreciate the kind words kharton. Was a nailbiter, I thought I was done after your offense shredded me in minutes for that easy td right before the half. Then I was worried it would come down to a kick and my kicker hasmissed 5 fg's in the last 2 games. Luckily your line was hungover and my guys could sneak through.

We'll see if Jack wants to give my team the underdog label again...

Kraken is in line for a fantastically enjoyable Elite season relishing that underdog tag.

Speaking of Elite, super impressive win by the Pirates! Keeping the Monarchs dream alive.

Can't imagine there will be a team with less salary in elite, so I'll have to rely on luck and teams underestimating me.

Nice win LuLuBa, good luck in the championship.

Thanks guys, I was pretty lucky today. Let's see, if I can keep the momentum.

Congratz to the Kraken and Leopards and good luck for the bowl game.
I am very happy to see more competion in the monarchs region and a new motivated Elite rookie. The Bulls and Malones have set a good benchmark in their first season

Good game, jack6.
The first quarter gave me hope, but your team was able to crush my offense. The rest of the game was a good offensive spectacle on your side. I haven't expected to win that game, but I was able to score some points and I'm happy about that
I wish you luck in both the bowl and in Elite.
And I hope the next time our teams are going to play, mine will be beter prepared

Thanks! Interesting game, but that's most of the time the case in RZA in the playoffs.
Always some mystery around those games and drives.

Good luck for next season!

Did I make it to the party on time? No?

Well, despite that, I'd like to congratulate Space Kraken on the win.

I've got a lot of work ahead of me for next season.

A dpierce is never late. Nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.

Season 39 league awards.

The winners of season 39 using only league games and I know they are skewed because of the bot teams and is only for fun and giggles.

Shane Falco trophy

1 = DAVID MORA - Space Kraken's golden boy with the laser guided arm put up an impressive 5,308 yards as he lead them to the championship final. He is currently discussing rights to a film about his epic rise and called "Mora, Mora, Mora"

2 = NICK TSIBILIKA - The excellent QB for the Park Ridge Owls who managed 4,910 yards. He was spotted at the airport grumbling to himself as the bailiffs moved into the offices of the Owls and emptied the place.

3 = KAMIL SHAREEF - 4,725 yards for the Paxtang Black Panthers was geat but failure in the playoffs means a early visit to his beach house in the Maldives.

Jack Dundee trophy

1 = ANTE HUBER - Both parts of the dynamic duo H&O (Hubert and Otto) were clear winners of the trophy. Ante put up 2,288 yards just beating his partner Gino Otto by 134 yards.

2 = GINO OTTO = Gino lost the top spot to his partner Ante, but he will be looking to a trip to the elite league next season. 2,154 yards was a great effort.

3 = DARU BOLATOGA = 1,623 yards was a good performance for the Midnight Marauders top receiver, but a quick exit from the playoffs means a trip to the beach as he is learning how to surf.

Darnell Jefferson Trophy

1 = ABEDI MULISA - DA Raiders golden boy rushed for 3,609 yards as he ran defenses ragged all season. Rumour's he is opening a new bar and grill in his hometown called "Stiff Arm and Spin"

2 = ORAZIO MAGGI - The Italian tank rushed for 2,306 yards in an excellent season with the Osler Rotties. He was last season heading to the snow top mountains for a off season break.

3 = SANTIAGO MANESS - 2,185 yards for the Florida Gators was a great effort as the Gators made the playoffs and crashed out early. Santiago was spotted at the local Gator farm looking for a new pet.

Gordon Ramsey trophy (this is for the Offense line as a unit)

1 = LEVERKUSEN LEOPARDS - 2,499 Pancakes for the Leopards as they book a spot to the Elite league. They crushed defenses with no mercy to the other teams defences.

2 = TORCHWOOD ALIENS - 2,291 Pancakes for the Aliens as they dominated their division and then lost in the playoffs (again).

3 = POZNAN KNIGHTS - 2,263 pancakes for the "Polska Bariera" to cap an impressive season as they nearly make the Elite league.

Bobby Boucher trophy

1 = PHILLIP KOHN - 24 interceptions for the Florida Gators as he displays a knack for spotting the pass by the QB. He also picked up the most fines for taunting the QB's and disrespecting the officials.

2 = FILLIPO DOGAN - 15 interceptions makes a good performance in a great Burnaby Bruisers defensive unit.

3 = LUBOS HRABAK - 14 interception for the DA Raiders was an outstanding effort.

Nigel Gruff trophy

1 = JOHNIE YANCEY - 42 field goals was the best performance for the Florida Gators kicker. He was last seen on a hopping vacation in the south glades.

2 = SYDNEY WINFREY - 39 field goals for the Berinsfield Hornets. A quiet man who went back to his local town and opened a school for can and bucket kickers.

3 = ALVISE GOBBO - 38 field goals for the West Gealish Warriors. Alvise was heading off to the live role playing center dressed as Beowulf.

I hope you all enjoy this and are looking forward to season 40, you all have a good draft.

for good pick,
for bad pick.

Poznan Knights vs. Leverkusen Leopards
I will pick of cause my team for the win here.
The Knights did win great in the divisionals, but I don't think they will get that stunt done again against my team.
That said, of cause can my team lose, but I think from 10 games my team would win 8.
Hopefully this will not one of the other 2.
Leopards win.

On of those games where you look at the score and you think, 'clear thing' and then you see the details.
Knights came out of the locker room and were effective on offense, but missed a FG, so my team did draw first blood, but after that it was all Knights winning the quarter 17-7 and it went over to the start of 2nd quarter when the Knights did cash in on the 2nd INT of my team and went ahead 24-7.
Those were the last points they scored.
My team did stop them even preventing by sacks scoring chances and did recover for the halftime for 24-17.
2nd half was won by my team 31-0, but some of the points came from aggressive playcalling in the 4th by the Knights, which did not work well.
Final score 48-24 for Leopards.

Space Kraken vs. Berinsfield Hornets
The Hornets made it.
As said, on a good day, they can beat everyone, so this will be the next challenge.
On paper they should win here.
But Kraken won during the season.
I guess Kraken will be glad if I make them the underdog again, so here we go.
Hornets win.

Both teams did made some errors, INTs or missed FGs so the score at the half was 14-13 Hornets.
When Kraken did play 4th and 1 on their own 29 and turned the ball over I thought that's it, but they held the Hornets for a FG and prevented more scoring, but also missed another FG by themselves.
Down 17-13 the 4th quarter started and Kraken score the game leading TD, held the Hornets away from the endzone and put in another TD for the final score of 27-17 for Kraken.

Now the Bowl:
Space Kraken vs. Leverkusen Leopards
I guess most will set this as done and over, since Kraken is almost 10 points behind in team strength, not so expierenced and have a worse team record this season.
Put the did not made the spot by beating pushovers, the earned the spot by beating very good teams, so I expect something here.
The truth is, my approach is, I let the game engine do it.
If the dice do roll nice, Kraken will suffer a heavy loss.
But I also had games with several INTs and then they are well in the mix.
So, yes, Kraken will be the underdog, again. But they do have a shot.
Leopards win.

Thank you! Don't worry, I'll only be gone for a season and then you can exact your revenge.

Great stats recap and awards kharton, appreciate the effort. Definitely enjoyed the humor. Gator clearly needs to get some discipline during training camp and I need tickets to that Beowulf show.

I really enjoy Jack's predictions and my continued role as underdog, I really thought my run would end in the conference championship again this season, but I'm pretty sure it's actually done this time. Those Leopards have too large of a skill advantage.
