The season is half over so It's time for the season mid-term grades! Rufio here and tonight I'll break down team grades and also my ability to judge teams while also looking at postseason likelihoods.


1. (8-0) DC Washingtonians (1)- Midterm grade - A+ - Rufio (10) - B.
Pretty clear cut on this one. Undefeated and killing fools each week. Initial rank of 10 wasn't terrible, but clearly didn't see the obvious improvement over season 38.
Games of note left: Pirates, Ravensx2, Runners.
Final Prediction: 15-1 League Champion.

2. (7-1) Comeback Kids (3)- Midterm grade - A - Rufio (4) - A-. 7 wins in a row for the kids, including a shell removing of the Dillos. Had to expect another solid season and with the easier half of the schedule remaining you're looking at your AC #1 seed.
Games of note left: Lions, Wolves.
Final Prediction: 14-2 Lose in championship.

3. (6-1) San Diego Blitz (4)- Midterm grade - A - Rufio (6) - B.
Steve's schedule will put the Blitz in a bye week come playoff time. Next week's game against Boston will lock up the division with a win.

Final Prediction: 15-1 Round 2 exit.

4. (4-3) Helsinki Gangsters (5)- Midterm grade - C+ - Rufio (2) - B.
Can't imagine Henry is happy with 3 losses already on the season, but we know this team isn't held down for long. Expect Kids/Gangsters rematch.

Final Prediction: 12-4 Lose in conference championship.

5. (5-2) Social Distance Runners (2)- Midterm Grade - B+ - Rufio (5) A+.
Buzi is really taking this Kraken curse seriously, I move him to 2 and he promptly loses. I'm giving him a B+ because as it's clearly a good season, I fairly certain he's not quite where he was hoping to be at this point of the year. He gets to feast on the Kraken TWO times this week, so lucky.

Final Prediction: Round 2 exit.

6. (5-2) Salt City Pirates (6)- Midterm grade - B- - Rufio (1) - C+.
LuLuBa has his squad in fine position for a playoff run, but is going to have a difficult time securing a bye without beating DC on 10/3.

Final Prediction: 12-4. Lose in Conference championship.

7. (4-3) Baltimore Ravens (7)- Midterm grade - B - Rufio (7) - A+.
PJ is feeling that last heartbreaker against the Runners. He's clearly got one of the better teams in the league, but a brutal schedule could keep him out of the postseason.
Games of note left: Dillos, Runners, Lions, DCx2, Pirates.
Final Prediction: 10-6.

8. (5-2) LoneStar Armadillos (8)-Midterm grade - A+ - Rufio (24) - D.
This week on Dillofacts! Did you know armadillos sleep 16 hours a day? You can tell because they slept through their game against the Kids. Other than that game, PlumbDumb has got to be happy with his team's performance so far this seasoon, they caught me completely off guard.
Games of note left: Ravens, Terriers, Blitz, Bobbers.
Final Prediction: 11-5 Round 1 exit.

9. (5-2) BU Terriers (11)- Midterm grade - B+ - Rufio (11) - B+.
Boston is doing what any playoff team needs to do, winning the games they should win. The challenging part of the schedule is up next. Can they hang? The Dragons game could decide the last WC spot.
Games of note left: Blitz, DC, Dragons, Dillos.
Final Prediction: 10-6 Round 1 exit.

10. (4-3) Black Dragons (9)- Midterm grade - B - Rufio (17) - A+.
This Dragons team seems to be in a better spot than last season, but I don't think it'll be enough to sneak into the postseason.
Games of note left: Pirates, Bridges, Runners, Terriers.
Final Prediction: 10-6

11. (5-3) Diorite Lions (16)- Midterm grade - B - Rufio (20) - B-.
The Lions continue being unpredictable and I have no idea what this team will do week to week. I guess I should just leave that line up. An impressive victory against the Runners (and a generous donation the the Rufio foundation) bumps the Lions just outside the top-10 while the Gangsters Tuesday will determine if they move into it.

Final Prediction: 8-8

12. (5-2) Williamstad Bridges (12)- Midterm grade - A+ - Rufio (26) - D+.
The fall of Istanbul (not Constantinople) left the division wide open and turnturnturn took full advantage. Can they hang on down the stretch?
Games of note left: Eagles, Dragons, all conference games.
Final Prediction: 12-4 Round 2 exit.

13. (4-3) TigerCats (13)- Midterm grade - A - Rufio (21) - C+.
skeetz finds himself on top of the tight Fire division and the week 16 game against the Eagles will likely determine who wins it. Impressive return to Elite for the TiCats.

Final Prediction: 9-7 Round 1 exit.

14. (4-3) Lyon Eagles (15)- Midterm grade - B - Rufio (13) - A.
Meitheisman has his team in a great spot after the early season struggles. He's got an opportunity to establish himself as the top Fire team.

Final Prediction: 10-6 Round 2 exit.

15. (4-4) AS Roma Wolves (11)- Midterm grade - B- - Rufio (12) - B.
Wolves took 2 L's to solid teams, but Scratobones can't be thrilled with his team's performance so far. Luckily the AC is pretty weak and they are still can make the playoffs with only 9 wins.

Final Prediction: 9-7 Round 1 exit.

16. (4-3) Marife-Lacion (17)- Midterm grade - B - Rufio (15) - A.
Marife recovered from a rough start, but the road gets difficult again real quick. This division is really strong.
Games of note left: DC, Gangsters, Runnersx2, Pirates, Ravensx2.
Final Prediction: 7-9

17. (2-5) Saker Falcons (14)- Midterm grade - C - Rufio (18) - A.
I'm sure hotel had higher expectations for this trip into elite but he can still stick around with some luck and a must win game against the Lions.

Final Prediction: 8-8

18. (3-5) Chelt Nam Bobbers (18)- Midterm grade - D - Rufio (9) - D.
Rough season for the Bobbers and the first time they won't win the division since season 34. A weaker second half means they could fight for a WC spot but they can really only afford one more loss.

19. (3-4) Istanbul Whitings (29)-Midterm grade - F - Rufio (8) - F.
Three wins in a row here, is this enough of a push to get back into the division race? They've at least decided to be in the race to stick in elite.

20. (3-4) Maykop Blues (21)- Midterm grade - B - Rufio (27) - C+.
Probably not thrilled, probably not too disappointed either. Decent return to Elite for Alex but it'll be tough to stick around. Maybe when he returns in season 42?

Final Prediction: 7-9

21. (3-5) Philadelphia Eagles (19)- Midterm grade - B - Rufio (30) - C+.
Should be an exciting debut for Philly in Elite. Got a great early win, has been competitive otherwise. Very low salary with these results is an excellent sign.

Final Prediction: 6-10

22. (3-4) Bretzfield Bandits (22)- Midterm grade - C - Rufio (25) - B.
Kottan seems to be planted firmly in the Yoyo portion of D1 and Elite. Fully expect his team to be back in season 42.

Final Prediction: 5-11

23. (3-4) Rome Centurions (27)- Midterm grade - B - Rufio (29) - B-.
They reeled in a floundering Kraken squad to keep pace with the Bridges. They are fighting for that #2 spot to give Elite another shot next season.

24. (2-5) Free Agent Mascots (23)- Midterm grade - F - Rufio (14) - D.
Sanco has got to be pissed. This season had promise, the AC has declined sharply, and he still finds his team flailing about. There's still time, but little room for error and an unforgiving schedule.

Final Prediction: 6-10

25. (2-6) Juggernaut Jackalopes (25)-Midterm grade C- Rufio (23) - A.
punch drunk won the D1 championship, but is having a very different experience this season. The schedule eases up a little and he can still make a push to stick around with the Bobbers barely afloat.

Final Prediction: 7-9

26. (3-5) Bracciano Lakers (26)-Midterm grade - B- - Rufio (22) - B+.
Can't consider the season a failure with a couple solid wins and no bad losses. But probably not a success either unless they find a way to overcome the Wolves. Luckily, they get them twice still.

Final Prediction: 6-10

27. (3-5) Space Kraken (24)- Midterm grade - B - Rufio (31) - B+.
The Kraken is just excited to have a couple wins, a semi-respectable record, zero scorigamis, and a kickass rankings program. Their schedule is not forgiving going forward.
Games of note left: None really, team is playing for the draft.
Final Prediction: 3-13

28. (2-6) Hell Hounds (20)- Midterm grade - A+ - Rufio (16) - B.
The Hounds are in trouble if this trend continues. They've only scored 9 td's on the season, you won't win many games with no offense. The positive side is they are only a game back to a team they haven't played yet.

29. (2-5) Basterds (28)- Midterm grade - D - Rufio (19) - D+.
Jetto has not had the season he was expecting and the emergence of the Bridges has really put staying in Elite in jeopardy. Lots of winnable games left to secure that #2 spot. This division could actually be fun until the very end.

30. (0-7) Leverkusen Leopards (30)-Midterm grade - F - Rufio (28) - A.
Worst part of Jack's season is he won't even get the top pick in the draft. It's a lost season already, so might as well have some fun with it. Throw out some fun playbooks, do some experiments, or just relax and wait for next season.

Final Prediction: 2-14 #2 Draft pick.

32. (0-16) Erudite Linstock (32)- Midterm grade - A+ - Rufio (32) - A+.
I see no situation where this team can win a game barring blatant tanking. #1 draft pick stops here. I can only assume Linstock is well on their way to accomplish the draft pick and reloading the roster goal.

Final Prediction: 0-16 #1 draft pick.

So my predictions so far haven't been as bad as I thought they would be. There's definitely some teams I was really far off on, (mostly being surprised they've been bad) but overall I was fairly close on most. My postseason predictions aren't looking so hot though with 3 of those teams already out of contention. Good luck to everyone going forward. The second half of the season starts tomorrow!
