Wait a minute there.....SF not in the mix? The most physical team in the playoffs with solid run game, pass rush, and Deebo Samuel not in the mix? The team that swept the Rams, beat Philly, lost to GB in the last seconds of the game (prevent defense sucks lol)? That team?

This season it's very tough to predict something.
But Rams -Bengals would not be on my list.

I pick 1 of the top 3 teams in AFC will make it, most likely KC and in NC I even see more teams in the mix, except SF and Philly, but most likely actually Green Bay.

But this season, including omicron uncertencies, everything is possible.

You have read it correct I do not have them in the mix.
Doesn't mean they are out of contention.

KC are on a serious roll, but if Henry is fully fit then the Titans will be fearsome. In the NFC it's hard to look past Green Bay.

I'll be rooting for my Eagles, we weren't supposed to be relevant this season, but with an Elite OL unit and a group of DBs that have gone from worst to top tier in the last 12 months we might spring a surprise... I hope. Our biggest problem is the weak LB corps, and the fact that our offense has been starting slowly. If we can keep it within 1 score at the half though then it will be interesting.

I am so glad Patriots are back in PO.

But it will be wildcard and bye bye.

I would say SB Bills - Rams.

Guess it is a good thing for me Vegas isn't playing the game lol. No one in the NFC stands out as THE team, that is for sure. It isn't like the AFC was a few seasons ago where it was KC or bust. The NFL playoffs is more unpredictable than any other sport since it is a one loss and you are out. Other sports you can have a bad game and recover because it is a series.

That unpredictability of the NFL is what it makes it fun.

That is NHL hockey and it's not even close. There's been like 25 8 seeds beating the 1 seed. That's only happened 6 times in the NFL, which looks even worse when you factor until last year the NFL had closer competition since they didn't allow half the league into the playoffs.

Edit: 80% of Superbowl attendees have been 1 or 2 seeds.

I couldn't find NHL stats without digging through each year which I can't do at the moment.

I am dying here lol. No matter how I phrase that I think the Niners have a chance someone wants to respond with either some stat or whatever. I'm not sure if it is a hatred towards the Niners or what lol. The game hasn't even been played, no one can for certain say how it will turn out.

There are examples of 6 seeds winning the Superbowl in the last 10 years. I know for sure the Giants and Packers have done it. The Jets almost got to the superbowl as a 6 seed. The separation in the NFC between teams isn't that large to suggest any one team is the team to win it.

To be clear I am not saying they will win it all. I'm only saying they have a chance, just as much as anyone. Obviously I'm a fan so yes I'm biased. lol. I'm sure every fan base of a playoff team can make a case why they think their team can win it and at the same time make a case why they won't.

Reasons they could win or lose each game in the playoffs comes down to 2 things.

Jimmy G and the secondary.

If Jimmy G thumb is ok to play and he keeps mistakes down they are golden.
If the secondary doesn't commit a ton of PI penalties at key times they are golden. I've followed every game and they have lost for one of 2 reasons and these are those 2 reasons. The run game is solid, the defense up front is golden, the LB are good now that they are mostly healthy.

I could make a case for each team.

Is ok to let me at least think my team has a chance? lol

There are exceptions to everything, so it's possible, sure. The Steelers won it as a 6. But all four division winners are probably better.

That said, I did pick your guys over Dallas, so there you go.

Parity and the unpredictability of the NFL is overhyped. If things were as wild and random as they're frequently made out to be, Rufio's favorite player, Tom -G.O.A.T-, wouldn't have won every Super Bowl since 1984.

Having a chance is a lot different than having an equal chance as everybody else. The niners have some ping pong balls in the air machine, but the packers have a lot more. Sure, a niners ball might get drawn in the end, but it's not equal odds of happening.

Even if I look at it through red and gold colored glasses and I ignore home field and demonstrated play so far this season, and I generously proclaimed every game 50/50, well, the niners would still not be equal odds with the packers because they have an extra game to play.

Perhaps what we disagree on is how much of a difference there is between say the Packers and Niners (I used those two since that is what you referenced).

For this specific example..... the game they played earlier in the season against each other. Niners had lead with seconds to go. Rodgers threw 2 deep passes to set up final second field goal. At this point in the season the Niners didn't even have Elijah Mitchell healthy yet and Deebo wasn't the RB/WR he has become this year.

I think it is closer between any two teams in the NFC than some might think. I will continue to live in my happy place of them having a chance and we will see what will happen each weekend. lol.
