The Mediacenter is for free for the first 48 weeks. After that, from manual: "After this time the teams have to pledge. These teams managers will receive a hint via the Coaches Assistant at that moment."
However it can be that there are only a few weeks left for the season so it does not even make sense to make this option available to new players. To prevent mistakes from happening I suggest three changes: 1. Disable Pledge button after week x of a season as at one point it does not make economical sense to pledge money. 2. Instead of a hint via Coaches Assistant have a message send explaining that Mediacenter has to be pledged to from now on and a link to the manual entry. This as it will have been 6 months since they probably read about Mediacenter for most managers. 3. Add text to Mediacenter manual entry (new text in bold): After this time the teams have to pledge. These teams managers will receive a hint via the Coaches Assistant at that moment. Please consider carefully if you want to pledge at that time as it might be better to wait until next season depending on what week of the season it is. After this time the teams have to pledge. These teams managers will receive a hint via the Coaches Assistant at that moment. |

I agree with number 1. Despite knowing that it is a manager task I think the mediacenter pledge should close early in the season. Maybe even before being unprofitable. And I am quite sure that only a few managers pledge after week 1 starts so there is no need to keep it open.
