I pledged $50,000,000 about 6 hours early and lost it all.

in my opinion not, because this was an issue in past times, and is the reason we added that warning on bold red on top of that page.
And for sure this is no bug, since the software worked as expected. I willmove this to discussions, maybe we can collect some opinion. But after all, undoing bad decisions is a bad move in my opinion, because noone knows where to start, and when to refuse or not |

Just weighing in here. for new managers this might be confusing and indeed it proves to be. So if Pete can implement a small change to prevent people from quiting in anger it seems it's an easy win. Suggestion: close Media Center four weeks before the season ends. Much the same as other things are closed before season roll over (transfer market, HT dept etc).

do we agree that "4 weeks" has nothing to do with the real math behind, since the point where pledging makes no sense anymore is earlier in the season?

Yes, I just picked an arbitrary date so we can at least prevent managers from making a stupid mistake. This is an easy fix which does not mean you have implement any logic on calculating when a button should be disabled  |

Even that does a bit lowers the management in this game, I would suggest, if you hit the button you get a request for 'you want to?' and in addition a rough return of invest calculation based on current stats, after week 2. In week 1 you get only a 'you want to?' request.
If the calculation is lower than the invest, it's red. |

You wonder regarding the suggestion or whether it makes sense?
To make it more clear some examples: Prior 1 week u p d a t e with the big bonus, function as today, since it is fine you pledge on 1st week. Afterwards for week 2+: You press 'pledge 50.000.000' and you get the 'you really want to?' request with OK / No AND estimated return of invest at right now funding goal of 66.6% (the value at that time) is 23 * 2.150.000 (or less, depends on the amount of updates left) = 49.450.000$ Means under such conditions it already doesn't make sense. Better post the diff also, here -550.000 in red and it's just more transparent. |
