Well its roughly halfway through the season and time to see how things are looking :
AC EAST As predicted the bot beater-uppers (is that a word ? ) are 7-0 and going to the playoffs. The Aliens fans are now being issued with pillows as so many were falling asleep at home games. AC NORTH The Bulls and the Saints are tied at 6-2 and it looks like the rematch will decide who wins the division. The Bulls won the first game 6-28 but I can see the Saints looking for revenge. The 4-3 Hooligans had a tough start to the season losing the first 4 games, but are now on a 3 game winning streak. AC SOUTH The Leopards are undefeated at 7-0 and one of the favorites to advance to the big show. A tougher 2nd half of the season awaits the Leopards. The Hawks are putting up a good fight and could make the playoffs with a 5-2 record so far. AC WEST Black Dragons still in control of the division with a 6-1 record and only 1 tough game to come in the 2nd half of the season should see them win it. The Meerkats have an impressive 5-2 record, but a very tough set of games to come with 5 tough teams. Roll Badge 2.0 has 3 wins and could make it to 5 for the season, this is very good progress. Dan1983m are also on 3-4 and will look to get a couple more wins as the compete in a tough division. NC EAST The Bruisers are undefeated and this could be their season, the fans hope so as they hasn't been much to cheer about since the mascot fell over while juggling 4 chainsaws. The Hornets are 6-2 and having a quarter-back crisis again so maybe a change is coming. RanchBoards are 0-7 and looking lost as they struggle against the 2 behemoths in this division. NC NORTH Surprise of the season sees 6-1 SARMIS lead the division, but with no more bots to play and 5 tough games still to come this could change for the Romanian powerhouse. The Marauders are in a slump with 5-3 record, but with an easy rest of the season, they could win the division. The Dynamos are 3-4 and could add 3 or 4 more wins for a respectable record as they finish the season. The Weekenders are 2-5 and maybe 2 more wins will be OK, but I think the fans would like some more. NC SOUTH Oilers with 7-1 are in charge of the division but with a worried look over the shoulder as the 6-1 Black Panthers snap at their heels. They still have to play each other twice and this could decide the division. The Hummingbirds are 3-5 and could get 3 more wins for a good end to the season. NC WEST Letaidans are 7-1 and firm favorites to a return to the big show for the Swiss dreadnought as they power their way to the playoffs. The Rotties look good with a 4-3 record and could get 4 or 5 more wins for excellent season. The KAFakofers had a tough start and sit with 2-5 record. An easier 2nd half will see them win 3 or 4 more to show the fans some improvement PLAYOFF PICTURE AC Aliens 7-0 Leopards 7-0 Bulls / Saints 6-2 Black Dragons 6-1 Bulls / Saints 6-2 Hawks 5-2 Meerkats 5-2 NC Bruisers 7-0 Letaidans 7-1 Oilers 7-1 SARMIS 6-1 Black Panthers 6-1 Hornets 6-2 Marauders 5-3 Rotties 4-3 Here's to a great 2nd half of the season

My kicker should have made that last 56er, but obviously he did not. Checked in a few min. before and thought 'close, but I have the ball and I'm leading, great'. Well .... |

Tough cookie to lose the 2nd game in OT on 2 consecutive gamedays, but that's what how it went. That 4th quarter did look crazy. |

Playoffs are here, so lets look the Wildcards games
Hornets (13-3) vs Marauders (13-3) The Hornets visit the Plunderdome again so that's 8 of the last 10 games played at this stadium. But this is a lucky stadium for the Hornets as they are 7-3 so all the talk from the fans about how expensive the food is and the lack of bidets in the gents toilets, still means its a good place for them.. I think the Hornets could win this, but it will be close. Saints (11-5) vs Leopards (14-2) The Saints have a massive challenge to beat the Leopards and progress to the next round. They have been weak against some of the powerhouse teams in the league and I don't see any change here. The Leopards will perform at their usual professional level and win. Hawks (11-5) vs Bulls (12-4) The Hawks make the trip to the Odsal stadium, home of warm beer and cold beef curry. This will be a win for the Bulls, but only just as the Hawks will look to soar into the next round. The Bulls have won the last 4 meetings in the league vs the Hawks and so the bookies are going with them. Black Panthers (11-5) vs Bruisers (14-2) Spikey Cleats Battlefield has been a bogey stadium for the Black Panthers as they look to take out the Bruisers. It's an intimidating place to visit, with all the noise, smells and bullet holes along the main walls. The Bruisers are still shell shocked after losing to the Hornets and spoiling their perfect record. The Bruisers should win this. Good luck guys This is just for fun, so chill out and enjoy. |
