WTF? So Germany gets more whatever from the Patriots, Bucs, Chiefs and Panthers? So, eventually commercials, merch, meet-and-greet, maybe games?
And the other teams do the same in other countries? Pity the Rams, the have to travel China all alone. ![]() |

What I don't get is why not all teams do participate. But at the end I don't get the map at all, and the initiative. |

Makes no sense to me from a football perspective. Why aren't the Bills associated in Canada since they played home games there in previous years and have a huge following? Where are the Packers? One of the oldest and most marketable teams. Same with the Giants and Eagles.
Especially the marketing of this announcement. Why would you have a drawing of the map itself? It's messy and unclear and now you open yourself up to pissing off either China or the rest of the world with Hong Kong and Taiwan being omitted. Bad moves all around. |

I don't think they plan to travel necessarily to those locations - - I think they are pushing team merchandise to those various countries.
Just curious - if you live outside the states, what teams are popular in your country and why? I know there are three or four teams that are most popular in Mexico - - largely because they are in the American southwest and therefore close to the border. I guess in my bubble I can find fans of every nfl team, and they stick with it. The most popular is the last bowl winner, of course, at least when you talk to people not following nfl very closely.

Favored teams are wide spread. But yes, the winning teams are often in the favor more than the losing teams.
Some teams with so called tradition are also often more favorable, like the Steelers for their defense, or the Ravens in more modern times. Often also just the mascots or nicknames were the initial drowing point and then people often stick to that selected team. |

I suppose its all NFL, right? There really isn't any college football overseas or fans of various programs.

I know a few people who prefer college football over NFL, but not many.
