That was an incredibly exciting game. High class! High respect for both managers.

Week 7

4 games this week! Each one involves at least one divisional leader.

5-1 Seahawks @ 4-2 SF

Last season these 2 teams played each other. Seahawks won their 2 games at home by 14 points each time while SF won their home game by 5 points while using MOTY setting. All three matches played out the same in terms of the flow of the game.

SF has the lead at half time in all three games 10-9,10-7,10-3 while having 0 turnovers. Then in the second half of each game SF is outscored 21-6, 17-0, 9-7 while turning the ball over 5 times with 4 interceptions and a fumble.

The question is whether the pattern continues or breaks. Based on roster quality I should lose. I think I can keep it close? So Seahawks by 9. That really hurts to type that.

5-1 Steelers @ 3-2 Gardians

Gardians just had a bye and are technically in second in the division. Gardians have a better pd and have the same number of losses but the bye week dropped them into second on percentage. They are looking to keep up and overtake SF. Gardians have a strong running game and defense, much like Steelers.

Steelers are 5-1 with impressive wins vs Werewolves and Marines. They seem to be cruising right now. In fact they have allowed the 3rd fewest points in the league and that is after facing 3 teams that have top 10 offenses.

I know it is so cliche but....turnovers are the key. These 2 teams are similar in style with controlling the clock and playing defense. So a turnover is likely the determinator. It could come down to who has the ball last. Last season Steelers won by a field goal. I personally am a Steeler fan this week. Coin flip.

4-1 Paladins @ 6-0 Panthers

Paladins are 0-5 vs Panthers since season 40. 4 of the 5 losses were double digit losses.

Paladins are definitely the more "battle tested" this season with opponent win loss at 14-13 and wins vs 3-2 Rio and 3-2 Lonestar. Panthers opponent win record is 11-22 with a win vs Westlake and Dolphins.

I do think some points are going to be scored in this game, a lot. Paladins have been held to less than 30 points only once while Panthers have been held below 30 three times but the lowest was 24. I wish I had that offensive production as I've scored more than 24 only once all season lol.

I'm picking Paladins by 3.

4-2 Westlake @ 5-1 Jackalopes

Weird stat for this game is that in the last 4 games (over the last 2 seasons) Jackalopes has scored 27 points in every game. That seems a bit crazy lol. In those 4 games Westlake has scored more than 27 points only once but it was in the last game they played where they won 31-27. Not quite as weird as the 27 points but Westlake has scored 13, 13, 17, and 31 points. So we should expect a 1 or a 3 or both in their score lol. They have increased in the last three games. That might be hard with Jackalopes allowing the fewest points in the league by a significant margin. Coupled with Westlake allowing 29 points on average to the last 4 opponents doesn't spell out a win for Westlake. It could be closer but Jackalopes by 7?

I prepared very good I thought
But u changed your pb 1 day before the game...

And 2 big plays(50 and 65) and after that an Int on my own 20 I'd a 31:0 lead 3 mins into the second half....

Ty but I wouldn't say it is over. I was almost in the same exact situation last week and won. There is still time.

Those are my first long touchdowns of the season more than 20 yards. Lady luck just worked out.

Week 8

Only one game featuring divisional leaders or even both teams having winning records.

6-1 Jackalopes @ 6-1 Steelers

2 Divisional leaders facing off. Last season the Steelers won 30-13 in a dominating win on the first game of that season.

After a soft first 4 games the Jackalopes have had 3 tough opponents in a row, winning a close one, and losing a close one. The Steelers have had 4 games so far against teams with winning records (2 are current divisional leaders) and only lost once.

The Jackalopes basic formula for a lot of games is to run it to set up the long touchdown pass. It has worked for them for a long time. Oh, and also sporting a good defense. Although that defense has had some troubles in the 4th quarter. The last 3 games the defense has allowed 60 points with 23 of those points coming in the 4th quarter.

Steelers have a well balanced offense that is ranked 6th in run and 6th in pass. They have a strong defense but against teams that are ranked in the top 10 for passing or rushing have allowed 20, 38, and 29 points. As balanced as the offense is I still feel like they would rather run. That helped them last season against the Jackalopes who had the 29th ranked run defense in season 46. This season they seem to have fixed that as they are now in the top 10.

Both teams have won tight games lately. Whose luck will run out?

It will be mine! I won't have as much luck as I had against the Gardians again. Last season I only won because my opponent had the wrong settings for the game. Accordingly (that's hard to write) I expect a clear victory for the Jackalopes.
