What are your guy's thoughts on Ai like Open AI or Dalle E artifice intelligence and the future of humanity as we know it to be?

I don't fear AI the way it is portrayed in movies like I Robot and The Matrix (good movies nonetheless)
I don't believe there will be an AI that is self-aware and too smart for humanity and try to enslave or wipe us out.
No, I fear the same thing all people through history have to worry about: ambitious men who will use this new power in new catastrophic ways. I think that is far more realistic and even likely than the sci-fi woes.

Let me put one thing in a very straight way:

Right now there is no such thing like AI available, at least not outside those super duper secret labs every govt org would deny its existence.

AI means, an artifial intelligence is able to improve by itself, like writing new subroutines and stuff.

Almost everyone who says AI, talks about machine learning, deep learning, pattern matching and so on. An "AI" can only be as intelligent as the coder was who wrote the code.

Maybe I would collide with some super cool bros on this.

And of course: change my mind!

I'm not afraid of AI, I'm more afraid of bad programming and what people might automate, which should not be automated.

A strange development is for example the automated stock market buys and sells, which do cause sometimes mini ups and downs, since the programs do react on trends and whenever a trend is hitting a critical point, a threshold, the next rule applies and does kick the trend in the next gear.
In the past this was sometimes so bad, that the trading was stopped for some time to get into safe water again.

THAT kind of 'AI' is scarry, because some people, without an 'I' in their head, made bad decisions and if such a machine suddenly does change the live of a lot of people based on stupid programming, that would be a bad.

I totally agree with what Jack6 wrote above.
Having said that, I don't consider the term itself, AI, very precise.
It's artificial, all right. It can be taught to do some things, too.
But, to the best of my knowledge, the way these programs work, is they are not capable of developing anything beyond the limits, which the programmer had fixed in stone. It's basically collecting knowledge, and these data are fed to the deterministic algorithms.
Personally I call it AW. Artificial Wisdom. It's integrally different from human intelligence. During my own life certain "algorithms of thinking" about some things have completely gone out of use, while some other algorithms have developed.
To make it more illustrative what I'm getting at, if I lived long enough, I could, for example, become convinced that the world is not mathematical. That all physical laws that we observe are just a coincidence. And a few hundred years later I could revert to believing that no, the world actually _is_ mathematical. I could also discover a more efficient way to pass the data to my brain, develop ways to combine knowledge and algorithms from completely unrelated, as of now, domains.
I am quite certain, on the other hand, that regardless how many millions of years my cellular would work, it'd never invent a wheel.

One correction to that last statement I made. It could, actually. My cellular.
One condition - I'd die and nobody would take that cellular to be repaired, once it starts showing signs of being disfunctional. I mean, instead of connecting the call, it would display texts like, for example, "to be or not to be". Or played the music nobody ordered it to be playing.

How could that happen? Some minor fault in the material, leading to the rearrangement of electronics. After all it's made of the same atoms our bodies are made of. It would be way harder than for us, humans, though. Because the other element of evolution is currently missing - cellulars don't reproduce, so cellulars have no way of increasing the population of these with disfunctionalities which increase their chance of surviving, versus the population of cellulars with disfunctionalities which decrease that chance.

EDIT: Even so, it wouldn't be the AI then, would it. It would be Natural Intelligence. Just like our's.
