In the meantime if my Ducks win the last game, it will be the division title. If they lose, they will be relegated with a 12-4 record and still be in the PO. It would be the first time a team gets relegated with such record, but I did see in season 19 a team being relegated at 13-3.

Shocking result against Holly for my team, especially considering how bad my team looked in my previous league game. But I'll be cheering for you this weekend, Holly, though I know I still have to take care of business myself.

- No changes in the Top 5. Peoples Republic of Yorkshire remain at #1. - Top 10: TigerCats enter at #9 and Hell Hounds at #10. If I drop I will not complain. I sabotaged my game against the Magpies the same way I did it twice last season. This kind of mistake should not happen in Elite. Not sure I would have won that game with the good depth chart, but a win would have secured my spot in Elite. We'll never know.
A few seasons in the regional division would allow my backup QB to get some very needed XP too. I'd prefer staying in Elite, but I will also be happy to be back home in a very interresting region now that some major teams joined us last preseason. |

Congratz mate, yep that was a good ole butt whipping for my team, you have my number this season. Yesterday I just was never able to get you off the field. 12/15 on 3rd down was just killing me too bad, that the variance from gameday to gameday is so huge. Imo it also leads to more blowouts and less close games |

I did not have a single blowout if you put aside the games against the bot team, the rebuilding polar bears and the one with my thrid string players. All my games this season were between -7 and +12 points. Remove those 3 previsous games and I would be 10-2 with only a +63 PD and 50% of the games decided by less than a TD. In the SC, it is the same. Against the 3 other top teams of my division, the scores were -3 to +7. Now I do hop our game on Saturday will be another close one, but I would not be surprised if it ends up with a blowout against my Ducks.  |

And now for more unneeded commentary!
One week of the regular season left, and there's still a touch of drama to unfold. In the AC, the division leaders are basically decided, but the last playoff spot has 4 contenders tied at 9-6. Cardiac currently has the PD lead, but has to play the Towncars, whereas TigerCats, 45 pts behind, gets the now bot-status Dynamos, giving him a good chance to overtake for both the PO spot and avoiding relegation. Unfortunately, that bot game pretty much eliminates HellHounds and ChosenOnes from having any real chance at getting into the post-season. In the NC, the story, as it has been all season, is all about the NC East. This was already pointed out earlier in the thread, but to be redundant: KMN and Alpin are now tied at the top and play each other for all the marbles. With Sunrise City 1 game back, if Alpin loses, they not only miss the division lead, but potentially drop to third in the division and face relegation, assuming the doggies can get past the mystics. Either way however, the Ducks are in the playoffs, even if relegated. If Sunrise loses, they get relegated and miss the playoffs if Kraken can dispatch the Malones. Clear as mud? Oddly enough, there are no other undecided relegation spots, so the only teams still fighting to avoid relegation are also ones vying for playoff spots. Also raises the dilemma of managers using MOTY for the must-win game, leaving teams depleted for the first round of playoffs. (Just to show I have a future career in sports commentary,) When it comes to elimination games like these, the key is to score points. Statistically, the team who scores the most points tends to win |
