Once more, I'm encouraging Pete to put something in place against this type of player focusing or lopsided tactics before more managers start using/abusing this glitch in the game balance. I know I've read him somewhere before saying he doesn't want to allow single target focus like this.
I think it either needs to be considered lopsided tactics with an appropriate bonus for the defense, or at least allow a defense formation that would give managers a fair counter to this unrealistic strategy. But I'm open to other ideas if anyone has them. |

I think you should be allowed to playcall however you like. But IMO, it's too unrealistic to have only one or two targets and for opposing defenses not to cue into this. I think if offenses are allowed to target only certain areas of the field, defenses should be allowed to counter, that's all. |

But in this particular case, can't you set the LB blitz to 75% and try applying pressure, with sacks or to force the QB to hurry which may result in incomplete passes? |

Of course you can, and I do, but that's only a partial/sometimes answer to the issue. I still feel it's an imbalanced tactic which any small town high school football coach would know how to handle. And my bigger worry is that everyone will see this hole in the game and start using it. I'd rather see game balance rather than everyone adopting the same advantage. |

I think the solution is that the player's agent will just ask for a really excessive salary next season given his outlandish statistics!

Steve SD Blitz I really like that idea!! except that if it's not a contract year... people could get around it that away unless something new were put in when stats do go through the roof. A player demand, awesome ![]() |
