Something somewhere isn't understanding the mistakes I am making with the playbook

My coaches Karma is also a down thumb or a straight thumb.

At times I can give bigger better teams a run for their money, but I lose too often to teams I should probably beat.

I'm assuming this is down to poor tactics.

I've messed with them recently and made them 100x worse 🤣🤣🤣

I need a few pointers if anyone would care to help a guy out.

First check that nothing stupid is happening, like punting from the opposition 20 yard line or going for it on 4th and 20, not going for a kick when in range and only a few seconds in the half or whatever. That is quickly checked by running through the play by play listing and checking what is happening on the last of your plays on each drive. You can also see it on the first page of the game stats but for me I see it better on the play by play list.

Karma isn't critical but bad karma = always doing the same thing. If you always run from I formation and always pass from 4WR, it makes the defensive thinking easier from the opposition. You don't need hundreds of lines of playbook to mix it up, but at least some mixing up, and moving from run to pass using the same formations is important.

On the defensive side, you can look at how each of your defenses has done against each offensive formation. That may help there.

as in the real game of -TOG-.. you need to know a little on plays
as a rule ON Defense- a 34 4 - is good against a pass, as a 43 4 is against a run.
so your DL. take blocks LB look at run or pass. CB Sf pass - a pro set Offensive play can work both on pass and run 2 WR -2 RB - try a scrimmage with those plays and see result.. So set a Proset against a 344 and pass, then against a 434 and run. { one hint - put your best tackling LB in middle}

not much of a tactics guru, me, but:
1. I'd go thru the play by play and check if the unsuccessful blitzes aren't too costly
2. If you want to start improving the karma without waiting for the new, karma-proof version of the offensive playbook to be ready, I'd temporarily run the offense on random in game setting and offensive pb with only a few crucial rules (eg 4th downs, last seconds in a half/in a game punts and kicks). I believe that's the safest way to avoid lopsided tactics . Also, might serve as a statistical reference point, when your new offensive pb is ready for tests.
