As for our league's season, here's my projections for tomorrow's games:
The headliner one is Champ Chompers v. Lincoln Towncars. My model has the Towncars winning by 1 point. Personally I'd take the Chompers here, but either way it should be an exciting game.
Aberthaw v Negbone also projects a close game, with Negbone up by 1.
Dolphins Pisa is over Bonaval by 2 points.
Again, in both of those games, I'm picking the underdog.
The Guns are getting 10 over the Wookies. I'll run with the Guns on this one.
After tomorrow's games I'll post updating rankings again.

I approve of Oli's prediction of the Towncars winning, this will be only my 2nd real challenging game (no offense Ions, but you aren't there yet, keep plugging!).

I have a feeling like you said that the Towncars will take my bad playbook to the cleaners, but I'll always throw my defense a bone hoping that they can make the plays that are needed.

Well, on the bright side, I picked the right winners. On the dim side, at least for my Towncars, congratulations to the Chompers! Their defense was extraordinary. And my defensive line is... well... JVish.

FIRE League
Now I am not as good as BoaTek, but my take on season- as some have 8 games...
A East~~ the Bangs are pulling hair with a 2 up on IONS, as are the CC in North to the { bad start} Phins.. South~ see the Steelers 1 up on -shock result- run out of street, Cars with another 2 up team, Panthers on Poruba - -
N East Tennesse 2 up over derailed Express { tough division alert}North, as all on Win 5~ Acorns ~ PBM ~ neroverde, blackgreen after a poor start.. The South like the West with Mustangs 1 up on Niceville, but rookie Bleaks R and Roma - are still in a winning season.. Guns are 1 up on Stuttgart .. - the Fire, have at this time, a full League - - Welcome Rookie/ Noob players..

I don't understand what must have happened for Champ Chompers to have given Lincoln Towncars a 52-0. It has been good for me, but it is very strange.

Alright folks. It's time for another installment of crap that doesn't matter! Let's take a look at the divisional races in Fire!

AC East
Braska Bangers 09 is in control and looking at their schedule, it looks like they will take this division this season. They still may drop a game or two, but Ions has an uphill battle being two games back and having a much tougher end of season schedule. Still, anything could happen.

Hot Take
I think the Bangers have this division sewed up. They can start looking towards the playoffs.

AC North
Champ Chompers has a two game lead on the Dolphins, but the Dolphins are a great team. The Chompers can't take their foot off the gas, but this season's Chompers seem to be playing inspired ball anyway. After demolishing the Towncars, The Chompers have proven they are the team to beat in the AC North. Maybe the team to beat in the entire Fire League.

Hot Take
The Dolphins need to keep applying pressure to have a shot and cannot afford any miscues.

AC South
This is a great divisional race. The STEELERS are clicking, having only dropped two games. The Towncars are run by an Elite manager, but their roster is decimated after last season. One win separates the two for the divisional lead. The Towncars took care of the STEELERS in their first divisional matchup. Can they catch the STEELERS and steal the division this season?

Hot Take
I generally go with experience when I evaluate teams, but I can't ignore how improved the STEELERS roster is. They sport one of the best wide reciever groups in the league and also have the number 2 passing defense. I give the STEELERS the edge in this race that I expect will come down to the wire.

AC West
Unfortunately for this division, there is just one experienced manager with a developed roster in contention. That's the Panthers. They will cruise to the division title this season.

Hot Take
Not much of a hot take. The Panthers win this division.

NC East
The Frontiersmen have been taking care of business since the start of the season. They are comfortably in control of the division, but they may hit a couple of speedbumps at the end of their schedule.

Hot Take
Fortunately for the Frontiersmen, The Chattanooga Express has a much more difficult schedule going into the loast half of the season. I expect the Frontiersmen will hang on to win this division, but anything could happen.

NC North
This division is straight up for grabs and becoming a more interesting race every week. The Bonaval Acorns, Pitcairn Bounty Mutineers and neroverde all are tied with 5 wins a peice. The pressure is mounting with every week that goes by.

Hot Take
If I am going to do hot takes, I have to have an opinion. I think this comes down to the wire, but I am going with the Mutineers to take the division. It would not surprise me at all if the Acorns or neroverde took the title though.

NC South
Well, here I am going to probably stir up the hornet's nest here. Yes, Mustangs is still undefeated. Yes, this is a crowded, competitive division with a lot of football to be played. I still think I have a shot though. In the last meeting between the Mustangs and Norsemen, the game went to OT. That is the closest that the Stangs have come to losing a league game so far this season, but it showed me that they were definitely beatable. The Bleak Reapers are doing incredible this season, but I don't think they have a developed enough roster to make a run at the division title this season. Gladiatori Roma still seems to be having financial trouble again, and that is generally bad news for your roster.

Hot Take
I think the Norsemen have a chance to win this division, but the possibility is slight and the Norsemen need help to pull it off. The Mustangs are a strong team in this league. Advantage Mustangs. For now!

NC West
The Stormtroopers are not going to lie down this season. They are still hanging one game back from the Guns (Should it be the Gunns?). The Guns have played outstandlingly this season. The bad news for the Guns? They have a scary schedule remaining. The good news for the Guns? The Troopers have an equally tough schedule left as well.

Hot Take
The Guns are in control now and I don't think they let this one slip through their hands. I think the Guns take the division in a tight race.

That's where we stand one game away from the midpoint in the season. At least in my mind, which is often incorrect. Just ask my wife. There are some great races shaping up and everyone seems to be really playing great ball and working on those rosters.

Last note and worth mentioning

I am very impressed with some of our newer manager's patience and discipline. There are several good teams out here battling it out with Elite managers of all leagues, and holding their own, day in and day out, with rosters costing less than 2 million dollars. That tells me that not only is the competition heating up in this league, but it is likely to stay competitive for some time. Great job guys and I look forward to seeing you on the field!
