I feel playing a game like this one is like reading a novel: we wish to see what happens next, and appreciate the storyline.
We have here an interactive novel: we are one of the characters. We have to abide to rules which are not apparent, kind of a Science fiction novel. We have to learn about new technologies and social constructs. Same as here. Then, one day, I hear the game developer talking like this: I admit I do not care too much about these situations. Thread I feel cheated.... If you don't care for your own product, why should I care? It is boring enough to slog through dozens of "100+ to 0" games , for month after month..... to be eventually be told "don't care", about one of the few available clues to learn, to understand, the rules of this universe. I feel cheated of my time, I feel cheated of my efforts, my intelligence has been diminished. So Long <uninstall> |

I understand why you are upset, since the thread itself only kind of makes sense, but I don't think it's something to be mad about. Even if I only know Pete a little bit, I know that by making the game itself, that he puts a lot of time and effort into making something fun for everyone who loves football, fantasy football, simulations, and others. He has worked on something he has loved working on for more than a decade, I don't think that means he doesn't care for a game you are bored out of your mind at. I joined this game..still as a growing teen, I love football, I am learning the basics of the game, i'm communicating, i'm making my own team and despite rage I get over it, i'm having fun. If you're not having fun or you still think that Pete doesn't care about this game at all, then leave if you must, and that is saying that in your own full control and me not trying to control you in any situation. If you really think your work is a waste, then find something else to do, I don't really care. However, I hope that you have a good life away from the RZA. It seems my words have been taken out of context, similar to how in modern politics a single snippet is isolated to create a misleading impression.
I believe the fair approach is to look at the full context before forming a judgment. By focusing only on a fragment, the meaning changes - and that is the real issue here.  |

A general point rather than a specific one.
Fundamentally it is impossible to pass an idea with all its ramifications from one person to another, and that’s including people who know each other well and are in the same room. Then we have the truths that there will always be points where people have different view of importance, English is a dreadful language for precision, and we write short sentences or paragraphs rather than fully reasoned articles with references and footnotes for every single message of the day because life is too short to achieve that, even if we wanted to do so. It’s hard in the moment, but we have to take a moment and try to envision the other’s position from which the message makes sense. We may still not like it, but I think it helps. |
