I imagine a league where you pay and subscribe in increments of seasons. This league would be faster; more games/training in less time.
When a manager doesn't renew their contract, the franchise goes up for market where other managers could takeover the team; of course with a cost as well. This method could help guarantee upward progress and less bots at the top of the pyramid, as well as fun mechanics that can promote the game itself in a different rendition of the process. In theory, by metrics, let's say €20 approx. for a standard supporter's account that lasts a year, with 78+ days in the season would mean about four seasons for the cost of a year subscription. This could possibly work out to maybe half a year, possibly about twice as fast.
So we can stay on that same scale; for €20 someone could get 4 or 5 seasons on the server. This can scale downward for probably €7-8 for a single season. Takeover could cost between €3-6 depending on the rating of the team; how the price varies specifically I'm not sure. Another consideration is a single manager owning multiple franchises, I'd assume that the one manager-one team will probably stand. Another gray area is managers joining mid-season. Perhaps the cost can scale down for low population leagues; I think a preseason window for signing contracts (subscriptions) and franchise takeovers should be in effect. |
