I used to be a lacrosse Referee and I had a saying I would tell coaches when they would hand me my game fee. "My opinions are free, the fact that I have to run in this job is why you pay me."
Sitting here in my comfy chair, listening to music, isn't anywhere near running. So this is all just my opinion, what I see looking at other teams. It is worth the price you pay for it. But if it helps anyone with this cRZAy game, That's the point. If you want to make it a discussion, cool, but you have to stay positive. If that's all good with you I will start in a just a bit. Stabler What is this relating to exactly?
I always try to make discussions as uncontroversial (or limited to controversy) as I can. I don't really like to trash talk either, I always might have something kind to say after a game with another team. With that being said, what are you going with this stabler? |

The Cinncinnati Bungals joined the Sea Devil League only eighteen days ago. They recently got their first win against a supercup bot. 0-11 in league play, The Bungals are the current holders of the number one draft pick. You may have noticed them on the TM Their bids are all over the bottom of the market. The stats are incredible. 47 new Bungals have arrived from the trade market. That is almost 3 per day. Incredibly, the Bungals have only spent over $300K on a player twice and $465k was the max bid. I like the strategy. The players you get with a new franchise are for the most part garbage. So the faster you get better players, the better. The Bungals are Hoovering up all the players and spitting the rejects out. (How they have sold 3 players is a mystery. I will never understand buying a player from a new franchise.) The Bungals are acquiring players that they can grow. Average age is 21.3 and they only have 1 player over 25 on the roster. Young and growing fast is a good combination.
Coaches: HC and 3AC's HC Geoffrey Grissom is 36yo. With 4 star consistency for those 80CP. He should be around a long time making the low 1.5 stars of experience irrelevant soon. 79CP OL coach Stanoje Vero is 49 so he is the most experienced of the coaches and should be leading a lot of the Strength training. WR coach Victor Manuel Marin 67CP is a baby at 29 .but has 3.5 consistency. DL coach Hyun-Jung Maeng 73 is a real mystery. The North Korean somehow got a work permit with only 2.5 consistency. My money is this guy is a cyber hacker and bad news for the Bungals. Stadium is under development with 66,600 capacity right now. This is outstanding and I expect further quick progress in building out the Jungle. Combined with a sub $1 million for players and coaches, Bungals should expect to rake in millions for a war chest. I hope they save and build that warchest. Bungals seems to be on a good track here. You have to remember that we are talking about a squad that 18 DAYS old! That is crazy fast to have any coaches at all. But, the strategy seems solid. Good, young 80 point coach to build around. Player development is the key for this young franchise and the coaches help immensely. Look out AC! The Bungals are on their way. |

Buying 49 players for only $3,364,721 in only 18 days is Impressive, It will be interesting to see how many of those stay and get developed.
Great Write up, us Younger Franchises sometimes don't get a lot of attention. |

I realise there would be potential cheating issues if we could run two teams, but it would be so much fun to start afresh with a new team...with the benefit of hindsight.
It will be really interesting to see how long it takes the Bungals to become competitive. |

Fuenlabrada Falcons
When Vicmafraigar started this team back in November, I thought it wouldn't last. But I see a log in almost every day so that is very good. The Falcons are the other team unwinned at this point in the season. (Rumours have that the Bungals have already started the #Tank4Ruslan campaign.) Will the Falcons follow? Possibly winnable games for the Cheetahs remain against The Blue Crabs and Rome Torresina. The Stadium has been built out fullyand San Selah National Stadium is a beauty with the magnificent Falcon Aerie. Great that such a young team didn't waste time and got right on to building quickly. With only 3 foreign players, this team is full of Spanish pride and young players average age is only 21.5 This looks to be a completely self built squad with wages a paltry 139K per week. There are no coaches yet so you know what that means Full Stadium and puny payroll = CASH COW. The Falcons should be putting away huge bank weekly. I hope they spend that money soon on some new guys. Don't get me wrong, I love a single country team but it is hard to do. There are traps. The worst is too much loyalty to your guys. I mentioned in the Bungals post that most of the original players given to a new franchise are not good. Most will have low physical caps and are not really worth developing. The most precious thing the team has is Playing time (PT). And wasting it on guys who can't physically do the job is fatal. I wish the Funkytown Falcons well and I hope this translates well in espanol. |

Badalona Cheetahs
This is a one country build and that country is the colossus of the Catalonia. Catalonia is an “Autonomous Community of Spain” for whatever that is worth. There are only 3 non-catalonians on the squad and they are all last seasons draft picks. Shame serengetibdn didn't/forgot to rename and renationalize the draftees. The single country thing is a huge plus in my book. The game is way harder when you restrict your pool of talent like that. serengetibdn did buy perhaps the one and only Catalonian on the TM. Mad Props for this build. The Cheetah front page says that serengetibdn has been at this since season 35, so I am glad he/her/they are keeping it fresh with this Catalonian build. But this is called Let's talk about teams for a reason and there are some major problems here. First, the Cheetahs are suffering from a lack of coaches. I get it if the coach has to be Catalonian but otherwise it's killing the squad. A good Head Coach and a solid distribution of 550 CP for AC's would light a fire under the Cheetahs not only in training but game performance as well. The Cheetahs can afford decent coaches as the have the stadium fully built and are raking in cash. Secondly the Cheetahs suffer from a lack of players and offensive linemen in particular. Only 50 players on the Cheetah senior team when the Game depth chart allows 55. Those extra 5 players keeping the starters fresh by taking over the special team plays can be the difference in this league. The player sheet also shows only 3 OL. The stats bear this out with upwards of 30 guys show up in the blocking stats. That tells me that there only 3 guys on the OT/OG/OC depth chart and then the computer has to randomly find two players to fill the OL on every play. I can not imagine trying to win any games without a complete OL. Sorry for being harsh but this squad is one I'm going to root for and I want them to be better. For Catalonia. |
