It comes up from time to time, whether youth acadamy players do play games or not.
We all know, they don't do that. I think that's a pity. I asked myself, why not? My proposal is, to let youth acadamy owners apply to a youth acadamy competition, in which the players can play. But ... - no exp gain - no pc loss - just fun That means, it's basically analog a friendly cup with only a trophy as outcome and the fun to have the players play. Precondition: - team owns a premium YA - team has a minimum of youth players, say 15. Please be aware, that in YA the players will have to play several positions. League play: Manager can apply like a friendly cup to a youth acadamy league competition if his team matches the precondition. The league starts somewhere at the start of regular season and/or midseason and has max 16 teams, 2 divisions and 7 qualifier games, a semi and a final. So max 9 games and max 2 competions in a season. A competition is opened in general and teams can apply until a certain date. After that date, the competions are created with #teams/16, filled with BOTs equally to have the competions complete. Worst case would be only 1 team apply, then the functionality can be deactivated a season later. No credits involved, but could be different. Of course there is a depth chart for the YA players needed. So, basic idea is more fun with the youth acadamy players without deeper impact on transfer market, development of players or bonus on play vs no play, except the cosmetic winner trophy. Why this restriction? In the past, any change on YA did lead to nothing, because any impact on the named parts of the games were unknown and it seemed, because of this the status quo was preserved in favor over any change. This proposal here does use already existing functionality, mostly, and the impact would be almost nothing in terms of status quo changes. |
