When the supercup gets scheduled, or divisions are equally filled with bots and humans, this is all I can do to keep it "fair".

This would be nice to have "balanced" divisions at the start, also if the balance will change during the season, while teams will go bot and new teams enter the game.

The difficult thing is that there are 48 divisions where you only play that division then all the team records are thrown in together. To be truly representative of your team's accomplishments all the division leaders should make it in. So what happens is that there are 48 top teams that get in but not necessarily if you win that division. So you may fight through a tough division come out 10-6 and still not get in. That is just the theoretical way of thinking.

My suggestion would be this:

There are 48 division winners who get in plus 32 wild cards.

The first round the division winners with the best 16 records get a bye while the other 32 division winners play the 32 wild cards.

Second round the teams who had a bye play the winners of the round 1.

The rest is the same.

In this format you keep the representation of "division winners" while also taking in those with great records who didn't win their divisions. More teams get in while only adding one round of play. The current format would take a total of 5 rounds whereas this one takes 6. The way it is now...the top 48 are kind of superficial in that luck plays a very large role. Even if there are all humans, luck plays a large role. This proposed system rids quite a bit of the luck.

Aehm, what happens with the explained plan if we have to increase the number of super cup divisions due we added leagues to the system?

Then business is good and it can be re-examined. If it stays the same I'm not going to cry about it lol. Hey, whatever works out in the end. I just think that if you have divisions then there should be something important about winning that division. Otherwise, why have divisions at all? I know they are there for the sake of having 16 teams to play against each other, but other than that there is no real reason to have divisions.

The divisions reduce the number of gamedays needed when we would play KO all the time.

If I understand you right, it will be not true, that we have less gamedays with the divisions.

15 Gamedays
1 Wildcardweek (48 Teams)
1/16-Final (32 Teams)
1/8- Final (16 Teams)
1/4-Final (8 Teams)
1/2- Final (4 Teams)
Final (2 Teams)

= 21 Rounds

In KO-System

Final (2 Teams)
1/2 Final (4 Teams)
1/4 Final (8 Teams)
1/8 Final (16 Teams)
1/16 Final (32 Teams)
Round 16 (64 Teams)
Round 15 (128 Teams)
.
.
.
Round 1 (2.097.152 Teams)

Maybe a mix of some suggestions would be a solution.

Reduce the group size to 14

It would be 13 Gamedays in groups and the best 258 teams fight in a KO-System for the trophy.

odd english by me...the division stage has two benefits for me

1.) no matter how many divisions we have, the best 48 proceed...this "No matter how many" is important for me

2.) I generate income. 15 cup games for sure. 1 million teams in your example would have only 1 cup game.

Oo, I understood you. Give the winners of each division a little, wooden and ugly trophy and the winners which don't get a wildcard have a little "consolation prize"
