There is no banking system here... Or if I've missed it, then shame on me...

If there were, then I could build my stadium as big as I wanted, or go ahead and hire all 20 level coaches, or fill my fanshop to the limit, or build and upgrade all the facilities and just use the bank for a loan...

No sir, if you don't have the funds, you shouldn't be allowed to bid... Simple as that...

If I have 700k, I could bid on one guy for 500K and one guy for 200K, but not one cent over...

Truth is, I don't know how much money the guys has or had, and as long as he had the funds, then it is within his rights to bid until it is all used up...

And while it may be a tactical ploy to keep someone in your division from having some particular player that might hurt you, you shouldn't be able to use non-existent funds to do so...

Just my thoughts...

I know it is frustrating watching this happen because there may be a player one would really want. However, in the long run that manager who is employing those tactics will find himself quickly in a position to not be successful at all. My advice is to just let them hang themselves and wait them out. Those same players will probably end up on the market again one way or another.

I think of it quite like writing a check for $50 to 4 different stores when you only have $50 to begin with. Sure, you might benefit in the short term by getting what you want, but the charge backs and penalty fees will be dreadful. You end up far worse than you began. Take a look at the penalties listed in the manual under economy. Very steep! I think the person who employs the tactic only hurts themselves, and in that case just let them.
