THAT IS A FUNDAMENTAL FLAW!!!!

Why in the Hell would the FB not be the lead blocker on a rushing play? That is what they are there for! That is the point of an I Formation. You might as well not have that formation if the FB isn't lead blocking for the rb. I am really dismayed by this. Wow. I formation is set up more for rushing than passing in real life. Until this is fixed I'm going to remove all I formation running plays as they are very devalued. sigh...

With the leadblock of the FB, the I-Formation would be to strong and the advantage for rush over pass would be once more increase.

That is one point of the story...This is why we have no lead dives and so on. Another thing is the more complicated calculation if two people on the attackers side are involved in the rush itself. I am not sure if this would work with the timne limits I have to calculate a complete match.

That is the point. In real life the I formation is for rushing more so than for passing. Taking the lead blocker (fb) renders the formation virtually useless. In real life it becomes the LB's job to make sure to take on the fb and rb if they get by the d line. I suggest to remove the formation if you don't have the fb lead blocking. For passing the formation is really limited with a small number of wr's that are covered by multiple cb's. This is a serious fundamental football issue. That would be like having the QB only starting halfway to where he is in the shotgun formation so he doesn't have an advantage.

Calm down pls

Maybe we will find a way for this. But not at the moment. And for sure I won't remove the I-Formation.

I'm calm, I edited out the thumbs down lol. Here, I copied this from a site:

"The I formation is typically employed in running situations. In the I formation, the tailback starts six to eight yards behind the scrimmage from an upright position, where he can survey the defense. The formation gives the tailback more opportunities for finding weak points in the defense to run into."

Although the I formation is used in college more than the NFL. It can be ok for passing, I'm just frustrated with not having it useful for running when that is what it is designed to do.

as written before...let's see if we find a solution here. But first I have to finish the blitzing package and the balancing on that. This is why I dount we will see blocking FBs on I-Formations in season 2

So I want to suggest following formations instead of the I-Formation in Season 3:

Singleback:

OTL/OTR/OGL/OGR/OC/QB/HBC/WRL/WRR/WRL2/TER

Strong-I (no leadblock, but a 20% that the FB rush)

OTL/OTR/OGL/OGR/OC/QB/FBR/HBC/WRR/WRL/TER

Weak-I (no leadblock, but a 20% that the FB rush)

OTL/OTR/OGL/OGR/OC/QB/FBL/HBC/WRR/WRL/TER

In the strong and weak I-Formation the FB is offset right (strong) or left (weak). If I unterstood the admin right, the FB can rush, when no HB is direkt behind him. The other advantage/disadvantage would be, that in a pass play one side would be more protected than the other.
