Something to consider sometime in the future (maybe far distant future??):
Hold the draft on 3 consecutive days, one round per day. For example: Friday night - Round 1 Saturday night - Round 2 Sunday night - Round 3 That would give managers most of Saturday to make adjustments after the first 32 players came off the board. Ditto Sunday after the second 32 came off the board. One negative I see: this will favor the early drafting teams a bit, as they will be able to get their top pick in every round. Of course, in terms of league parity, that's maybe a good thing? (Depends on whether I'm drafting early or not  ).
But it would make the draft even more exciting. |

The draft has to be AFTER the seasonrollover, and before the first official match.
Means monday-wednesday (rollover) and Saturday (game) We would have to make the offseason longer, by one complete week. |
