Sure if all divisions are created equal. How does that thought of yours work in circumstances where an all bot division has one representative and there are several human teams who have to fight for divisions and one wild card? So MOTY might be necessary even though you are a good team.

You don't choose your division. I finished 12-4 and had to get a wild card despite having the 4th best record in my conference. In my conference alone there are teams with poor records in the playoffs because their division sucks.

MOTY does happen in real life in Playoffs for me... Not called that way but it's a real fact...
Why some teams are overachieving in Playoffs whereas the best sometimes suck... Because of Pressure when you're favorite againsgt the nothing to lose way of life for underdogs... For me the MOTY playoff is representing free stress and so better playing... It's the beauty of sport and for once we have an option that allows that kind of luck/bad luck of a good/bad day... |

I can understand that you don't like to lose on MOTy and its randomness... However, it's a strategic thinking before each game that put you under pressure... If you know that your opponent will use his MOTY, use your or be prepare to risk your season...
And no one is complaining when a team gains a Wildcard thanks to an opponent playing relaxed mode... |

I am still playing in the playoffs. So it isn't that as the reason why I dislike it. I think it doesn't fit logically. Every game in the playoffs is supposed to be intense, of course every game is like a MOTY in real life because the loser goes home.

What is for you the strategy of this MOTY ? I tell you. Worst Teams play MOTY in Wild Card Round. Better Teams must share this for Conference Bowl or Super Bowl. But they cant use it, cause worst teams are using MOTY earlier. And that isn´t reality. That is stupid. Sorry. |

If you think that your opponent will use it in Wildcard, so use it if you don't want to risk an early lose... However I think that even with regular mode you can somtimes beat a MOTY team on so have an advantage further...
It's a calculation of risks and stakes of a game... Maybe your opponent in Divisional Playoff will save his MOTy for furthere round and you can upset him... Just put your strategy and pray... Beauty of sport! |
