Upsets should happen with the engine without MOTY.
And it should not be that playing MOTY means upset. I played MOTY on the test stage for the supercup and got creamed by the opponent. Was it worth it? I don't know. For me, MOTY as it is now is somehow broken. |

Probably that's because of the quality of players we have right now. If we judge how the engine works with those plumbers as WRs and QBs, then the passing game in RZA is worthless. I think the same happens with MotY.

There where so many upsets in the playoff history because the underdog played their MOTY and the favourite performed not well. Some examples? Saints- Seahawks (2010) Jets - Cots (2010) Cardinals - Packers (2009) Jaguars - Steelers (2007) .... Okay, what's the lesson here? The Seahawks won a game, nobody expected them to win. In the next round they got bullied by the Bears. Down 35-3 in the 4th quarter they managed another 21 points in garbage time, to look the score a little prettier, but it was too little too late. The Jets won against the Colts, then beat the Patriots and fought back from a big half-time deficit with a good chance ton win. Cards-Packers 2009: Cards won, then lost in meltdown fashion 45-14 against the Saints. Jags-Steelers 2007: Lost in the next round against the Patriots. According to your logic, it looks like the Jets played 2 if not 3 MOTY in a row. The other three teams demonstrated what happens if you play MOTY way too early. You just delay the inevitable. Mostly, promoting teams are stronger, at least this is the experience from testing. And now, this promoting team has played WC, DP and CC...while the relegating team has full power...will be funny, IMO |
