I have a fix for the passing yards per play issue. Allow super strong receivers to break tackles and run for 74 yard TD every time. Problem solved!

That could be not the solution. This is not Football, this is IT. "1" or "0", "on" or "off".

What I like to see is: Pass for 8 yards, Pass for 0 yards, Pass for 11 yards, Pass for 0 yards, Pass for 0 yards, Pass for 15 yards, Pass for 5 Yards, Pass for 4 yards, Pass for 2 yards, Pass for 20 yards, Pass for 15 Yards, TOUCHDOWN

80-Yard drive: 8/11 catches per attemp

What I would like to see more is: more catches and more tackles after the catch and not Catch&run.

I very seldom see a pass go for more than 9 yards. Today's game (22 completions)

Name POS Plays Catches Yd Avg Longest
Dan Connolly WR 39 7 42 6 8
Furaha Omehia TE 58 3 15 5 6
C. Muhammad TE 56 5 23 4.6 7
Ramon Tóth WR 40 3 16 5.3 6
Travis Aviles WR 39 2 13 6.5 8
Gus Layton WR 37 2 11 5.5 7

Now, these were all completed as "Playtype = Pass", and from prior posts it sounds like your QB does not go call a "Pass" plays longer than needed for the 1st down....

So I added a couple Medium/Deep pass plays to the playbook for this game, but went 0-3 on them, but I'll keep trying to complete one. That should be interesting.

btw I have a 26 Pass QB throwing to 4 WR who are all Catch 20+ and Speed 30+, so with 14 combined completions you'd expect a WR to get a few more than 9 yards once in a while.

Stats from a couple days ago friendly are quite similar, same players:

Dan Connolly WR 46 8 48 6 8
Gus Layton WR 45 6 37 6.2 8
Ramon Tóth WR 45 4 27 6.8 9
Travis Aviles WR 42 6 29 4.8 7
Furaha Omehia TE 13 2 3 1.5 2
C. Muhammad TE 10 3 8 2.7 3

That's 38 completions to WRs in two games...longest reception 9 yards.

For a 20+yard- TD pass for me worked medium pass very well. But this is mostly: complete pass=TD

I've got an interesting stat line, too.

Sudath Moss TE - catches:42 - yards:174 - avg:4.1 - Longest:7yards

In 42 receptions there was not a single catch longer than 7 yards. That's astonishing, innit?

I have an idea, i want to fix here before i forget it. Actual are other topics more important, than this threat, but every body is welcome to discuss it.

Would it be possible to increase the overall catching succsess of receivers and the tackling ability for defenders?
I hope the result would be, that we get more catches which were stoppend immidiatly and less catches which end directly in a TD.

Not really, because the engine is balanced already, during long long testing weeks. And we spent a good portion of time to make it a balanced one once the important skills are above 30...

80%

The thing is: if we adjust the passing we will change the balance between passing and rushing. So might be the rushing on lower skills become a "self running game", while you won't be able to run a single yard with a full developed player. We prefer balanced engine behavior at high developed players, and we deal with some imbalance at lower levels.

It seems this is as it should be

Thanks for the statement. I think I will run for the next 4-5 seasons.

I wasn't complaining, and I'm sure that's how it will be. All players involved in my passing game stink, so it's fair enough I can't expect some West Coast Offence just yet.

Keep up the good work!
