The only other way I see would be a model based on wages, not transfer fees.

So instead of buying players for money from other managers of "of the market" as free agents, make a bid on the player by rising his wages.
The one with the best offer wins the player.
There could be additional factors like league status, team status, starting chances, contract length and so on.

Managers can only negotiate their own players or bid on the market.
If a player is cut or the contract runs out, the players goes to the market pool.

But this would totally change the game.

I had a similar idea in the past. But you are right, this would change the whole Tradingsystem.

How can teams bid who doesn't use the HR-Department?

It will be more difficult to make the right bid for new managers, without running in financial trouble.

It also goes a little beyond what I'd consider to be a 'game' - we don't hire accountants here. Yes it's realistic, and yes - it sounds good in theory, but we have to strike a balance somewhere.

Transfer market is pretty good now. If someone cannot be online at the deadline he shouldn't have a possibility to buy a player. More active managers have bigger chances - it's like it should be.

How about something as simple. Like a trading block feature. Which would only work with in your current league.
That way people could look to trade player for player.
And money could be use with a player trade,But money alone for a player would be invalided trade in the trading block.

But at the same time maintain the transfer market as is. For people who just want to sell there player to anyone or manger who cut there player.

What do you think?
