Peter,

I want to take the time to say thank you for working so hard (for pretty much zero profit, a cost I would assume)to create this game for us to play. I know there were a lot of people helping out with the testing and developing, thank you to them as well.

I have played at many, many different sim games online and this one is by far the most responsive to the players. Consider that these other sites are for profit, companies/corporations. This site has more to offer than most of them. It combines the ideas from several to come up with a product that has a season not too long (GI) and not too short (GLB). The forums are very active considering the amount of players.

I have seen you here at all different hours of the day (do you have a job lol?)to answer questions, address issues/bugs, and cater to individual needs within reason. I don't think some here realize the dedication you have put into this. Perhaps we have all become a bit "normalized" to the high level of support and take it for granted?

Players have to understand (I think most do) that this isn't a Burger King where you can have it your way right away. This game has parameters to it and it is unrealistic to come in and expect Peter to make changes based on what you want individually. Players also have to understand that Peter doesn't make a change on a whim. He carefully considers the implications of the changes that happen. So it is also unrealistic to expect him to make a change to a new feature that completely alters its functions because you don't like it personally. You can't always have your cake and eat it too.

Thank you very much Peter, this is the one site that I visit everyday no matter what.

Jim

Indeed, 'tis good to see a GM pay such close attention to his minions...

Can I have some free money now please?

I'd like to agree fully too! I've never seen anyone be as devoted to bettering something as much as Peter does, especially with so many people having so many ideas!

I also always meant to say how much I like the tribute to NFL Europe. I'm sure this game will last much longer and be more successful than that was though

Despite the teutonic manners and the misunderstandings, Pete is a good guy, with good ideas and a little too much haste.

This can not be said to some others, that pollute the mailboxes with his stupidity...and are rewarded with the same currency.

I feel ashamed somehow

Jim and others, thanks for the kind words!

Just to answer the questions inside the post:

I am the head of the development department of a telematics company in germany. We are inside the top 5 in germany, and maybe inside top 10 in central & western europe. We have franchisees in several european countries. My job consumes most of my daytime, but it allows me to have a short break here and there to concentrate my thoughts, or even to take a rest from planning things. This is why I can be online even during the day, and answer at least with short snippets if issues are coming up. And I have a family, and my wife and my 2 boys (22 and 16) allow me to spend some of the rare spare time on RZA. It is just a hobby for me. I have no intention to earn money, nor I have to get rich by providing RZA. Much more it is a more than welcome equalization to my dayjob. There, I have to follow rules you need when you are working in a team. Here, I can do like I love it. And if I write a dirty piece of source, there is nobody except myself who is arguing with me

Now you know why I can be present here, and you might understand what drives me to do this stuff here. And, if some of you like it, and much more if some of you come up and share ideas how to bring it forward, I feel honored!

And yes, there are parts of the day where I don't think about RZA - for sure!

I don't like to catch up with companies offering such games in a professional manner, nor it is one of my goals to turn another game into dead one. Much more I think there is enough space for all those suppliers, to offer more or less unique features, or even a combination of several things.

A big thank you again for all of you supporters. You give me the feeling I am not doing "worse" only. We have a rate of supporters that is quite high - nearly each 3rd is supporting me by money. In no way this means "non supporters" are 2nd class people, don't get me wrong here. We need every single of you too, to make this a living thing. And sharing ideas is supporting me too. All I want to say: the supporter rate is much higher than I expected it to be in my best dreams.

Cheers for that!

And now enough with "sending me flowers", let's discuss about the game or football or whatever, but not about me

PS: and thanks a lot for dealing with my Yoda denglish all the time, that makes it worse for you
