well, you could add that a player isent allowed to play out of possition at all.

A WR must play as an WR and not as an TE and so on.

and if someone does he plays maybe 50% worse or something,

This is drastic and maybe unreal but players would definitely have players at the "right" position if this would be a reality in this game.

Exept for special teams ofc, there everyone would be allowed to play without penalty.

What about beginners who have injured players but don't have the roster depth yet to cover for every position?

If we do this "harsh way", they would do what you could expect from then, playing, but it will be worse if the TE goes as DL...

Maybe that new players will start with enough players so that it would not hurting them if 1 position gets 2-3 injuries.

i dont know how big rosters starts out to be today, but then maybe 50-60 players?

45?

And to fully inform new players about this penalty, it could be added in the manager license in a clever way.

repost from page 1 of this thread:

Proposal:

Add a penalty for out-of-position (in addition to the AC hit).

Options that have some sense of realism:

A) reduce the player's Experience by 20 (from X to X-20) when playing out-of-position. Or by 50% (from X to X/2). Or by whichever is greater.

B) reduce the player's Positioning by 20 (from X to X-20) when playing out-of-position. Or by 50% (from X to X/2). Or by whichever is greater.

C) reduce Team Chemistry by 2% for every out-of-position player. (assumes 50-man active roster...)

Some or all of these 3 would provide a better in-game simulation of the performance drop a team could expect when playing a CB at SF.

Not saying I like any/all of them, just trying to help you keep the game working how you want it....so if these are any help, great! If not, I'm

Give new players a roster with 50 players, or only penalize players for using offensive players on defense and vice versa. Is there really much harm in playing a WR as a TE? NFL teams occasionally do it.

A combination of options A and B: reducing both experience and positioning (by 25% each) would be best.
